What a fitting end to a bizarre season from start to finish. Started with Ime’s sudden departure and Rob needing surgery. Ends with Tatum rolling his ankle two minutes into a game 7.

Reality is this wasn’t a championship team. Never built championship habits. The hot start was on the back of exceptional unsustainable shooting. The defence was never consistent. The rotations were constantly changing.

Last years team may not have got the job done either but they had championship habits.

I never want to hear anyone say Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are on the same level or Brown is better. Tatum may not be perfect but he doesn’t lose the ball like a 5th grader going up against college players every **** second possession he dribbles on.

I don’t know where we go from here.

It’s quite clear that the Mazzulla ball BS won’t win you a title. We basically never had a chance of winning any game this season if the three wasn’t falling. That **** doesn’t give things done in the playoffs. Especially when you are relying on shooters that over their careers aren’t that flash.

Another season where a chip was right there for the taking and pathetic execution and system late in the season costs us.

Couldn’t ask for a more pathetic showing on your home floor in game 7.

Core is such a bunch of wasted talent. Smart Grant JB and Joe gotta go. But they won't since management is spineless.

I don’t think Joe gets fired. I don’t mind him anymore. JB unfortunately has to go though. His game relies on hitting tough midrange shots and he can’t dribble. There’s no way he should’ve been so bad today. Again I said JB for Mitchell or Young but y’all thought I was crazy, both those players would’ve put much Better fight up

Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

I just don't know how can I recover from this.

I never wanted to trade anybody ever since this core came. But something's not working. Sorry JB, sorry Al, **** you Joe.

Before the start of the season Gallo got injured who couldve been a huge plus from the bench.

Brogdon getting injured during the ECF.

And to finish it off Tatum gets injured in the first minutes of the crucial game 7. Tough luck!

This was Browns time to shine, but the dude just didn't have it in him. I've never seen Brown play such a bad game. Dude is a mental midget, who wants to be a leader. Joe didnt even protect Brown from his horrendous slump and didnt take him off.

We stank it up tonight. The Heat wanted it more.

Bring in a real coach. Joe made too many mistakes.

Doesn't matter. This organization is content with being in the ECF every year and nothing more. They don't really want to win titles. The Heat want titles. Thats the difference. F this organization. Make some changes for the first time since Kyrie left.

I don’t think JB will be going anywhere. They will try and find some role players.

I would look to trade Jaylen now. He is what he is, but I do not want to supermax this guy. It will turn into a massive regret.

I don't think they will keep him. Brad gave Joe the best roster in basketball with very little holes and couldn't get them to put it together. He was set up for failure, we should've never put a 33 year old with ZERO head coach experience in that position

This team has been consistently poor with Tatum out of lineups so today was no surprise. Dude had no impact after the roll and it all fell on Brown and he couldn’t deliver. People roast the dude because they think he isn’t a number 2 on a championship team yet expected him to be a number 1 in a series like this.

Smart was awful tonight. Horford was horrendous. Him sitting back on 3 Heat three point shots in the 2nd quarter was absolutely infuriating. As much as I hate to say it might be time to see him go..which breaks my heart because I really wanted to get him a title.

White did his best but like I said there is no way you can ride a guy like that for too long in a game 7. Eventually he was going to fade away and he did.

Disappointing asf, but I wish we had seen this game without the injury to JT.

As a team, 20% from three, 15 TO’s and they could not beat the zone. It’s the same reason we lost last year to the Warriors. The guy who was meant to help with this tears a ligament at the worst time.

Not even mad, won’t throw anybody under the bus. Just sad that they could not get it done. Frustrated that they are so inconsistent.

Props to Miami for showing up today after such heart break.

2 reasons I couldn't take it anymore. The NBA: the floopin and floppin and soft whistles and 3 point chuckin. And nobody gives a damn for 82 games. So that ain't for me.. But the other thing has been this low ass IQ team. And I'm supposed to grin and bear it because they show out on paper. But I don't care about that either. I can tolerate the ****ty state of the league, not like it's always been great. But I need this team to not play like idiots if Im going to dedicate my time to following them. Hopefully they do what they need to do in the offseason, get a team with a little more brains and maybe I'll be around more next year. Tough series to lose. See ya'll when I do :wordyo:

I just don’t see how this “core” is going to take that next step. They just fumble too many close games/ don’t come out ready enough in the biggest games. It was a good run, but please let’s make some changes.

The_Ghost_of_JB wrote:Pathetic game. Not a great idea to spot a team 3 games. Cannot say I am surprised though. Team sucks at home and wasn't going to survive another horrendous shooting night from three. Not fun watching this team keep jacking and missing threes for 48 minutes and nothing else. This game was legitimately over in 12 minutes.

At this point Boston needs to move on from Brown. I've seen enough of him he's terrible. Issue is he's in a contract year so Boston will probably be stuck with him for next season and he'll just walk away.

No moral victories at this point and no one is going to remember how Boston fought back; all people will remember is how Miami as the 8th seed made an improbable run to the finals and now the record for teams going down 0-3 is now 0-151.

4 points in the first 7 mins of the game for the heat and we were down at the end of the quarter.

The problem is they almost have to give Brown and Tatum those deals since Boston is not a major FA destination and if they don't then it becomes basketball siberia again.
