If we are gonna argue between Herro or Simons, I am happy with the off-season to come!

If the package for Simons is the same: Jonathan Isaac, Gary Harris and the No. 11 overall pick: I also would want this.

A couple things. Herro has no loyalty to the Magic and will leave as soon as he can. Also, Miami is ultra unlikely to ever make a trade with Orlando.

On the flip side: Simons is literally the Magic. It is his with name and blood-line!

..

Indeed, but I m sure we could get Simons for Gary (or cap) +11.

I d rather keep JI

Simmons doesn't want a healthy Isaac on the Magic. I think the Magic give the roster a chance with everyone healthy.

I see this team going into next season with only the additional draftees and a healthy Issac being the primary differences from this years team. I think Weltman wants to see if this is a playoff team as built, heath permitting. I think it is, and if so it’ll be after that the Magic may look to free agency or trades to acquire that step up piece into contendership. If the team makes the playoff next year, prime guys will definitely give Orlando a look see if they got the cap space.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

If the Magic can trade G-Harris and the #11 for any of the top-49 SGs in the league (by PER), that's a good deal,

Here's the list.
1 Donovan Mitchell, CLE
2 Devin Booker, PHX
3 James Harden, PHI
4 Bradley Beal, WSH
5 Desmond Bane, MEM
6 Jaylen Brown, BOS
7 Kris Dunn, UTAH
8 Zach LaVine, CHI
9 Anthony Edwards, MIN
10 Norman Powell, LAC
11 Josh Giddey, OKC
12 Dejounte Murray, ATL
13 Fred VanVleet, TOR
14 Malik Monk, SAC
15 Alec Burks, DET
16 Immanuel Quickley, NY
17 Delon Wright, WSH
18 Kevin Porter Jr., HOU
19 Hamidou Diallo, DET
20 CJ McCollum, NO
21 Devin Vassell, SA
22 Buddy Hield, IND
23 Kevin Huerter, SAC
24 Trey Murphy III, NO
25 Gary Trent Jr., TOR
26 Austin Reaves, LAL
27 Kelly Oubre Jr., CHA
28 Jordan Goodwin, WSH
29 Anfernee Simons, POR
30 Cam Thomas, BKN
31 Klay Thompson, GS
32 Terry Rozier, CHA
33 Jordan Poole, GS
34 Jaden Hardy, DAL
35 Jalen Green, HOU
36 Isaiah Joe, OKC
37 Bogdan Bogdanovic, ATL
38 Josh Hart, POR/NY
39 Jaylen Nowell, MIN
40 Talen Horton-Tucker, UTAH
41 Terance Mann, LAC
42 Bennedict Mathurin, IND
43 Luke Kennard, LAC/MEM
44 Terence Davis, SAC
45 RJ Barrett, NY
46 Donte DiVincenzo, GS
47 Ty Jerome, GS
48 De'Anthony Melton, PHI
49 Shake Milton, PHI

Mr. #50 is:
50 Jalen Suggs, ORL

I d rather keep JI

Let's look at Terance Mann for example. Would it be worth Mann over Simons if Orlando could retain Isaac, it might be the non-trade that makes all the difference.

In conclusion, I too have not given up on Isaac and Orlando should make "some" effort to keep him.

It sounds like the Lakers are only going to offer DLo $20m per year. I would be interested in him for that.

6 apg PG hitting 40% on around 7 3pt attempts per game, sounds good to me…listed at 6’4, but seems taller (or maybe our 6’4 guys are liars-Harris, Suggs listed at 6’5 :nonono: ). DLo had a couple of seasons w/20+ppg…he might be ready for a leading role at 27. Fits the profile of what we need at modern Lead Guard, imo.

What does this mean?
Simmons is a Celtics fan, and they all secretly fear Isaac being healthy.

If we made that trade, what are we going to do with Fultz and Cole. Plus who is the back up C?

Cole? He’s already coming off the bench as is Suggs. Who’s our back up center now? Replacing WCJ with Nurkic doesn’t change that. You play Fultz and Scoot. Shooting would suck but you add a potential generational talent.

Shooting would be better...fultz and Scoot NEVER on the floor at the same time. Fultz is traded the TD or expires. These are good problems to face. I'm still concerned that Cole's extension talks may not be smooth and he might get moved.

(I won't say waived for valuable cap space because it's a trigger-would happily trade Fultz for ...?)

Even without Franz he scares me...I love the player but that looming contract (even if its not Supermax) will be huge for a guy with a glaring assist/turnover problem. I don't expect him at SG/SF to be racking up assists like CP3, but I also can't have the commensurate amount of turnovers without the playmaking. He's an awesome player, but I don't think I'd even try in FA anymore. From all accounts, he's dead set on a max deal and I expect BOS will trade him because two Supermax deals in two years will be crippling. All of our wrangling about $25m for Simons, $32m for Poole or FVV, $25m for Reaves or Herro, etc is chicken feed compared to what he'll be getting...look at Beal. Good player, but ungodly bad contract as he ages out and misses games. Lillard, to his credit is better every year, but that's a tough bet to make when you're not already married. Brown is worth an insane $40m in this world, but he'll probably get $50+. Even with the cap going up, that's nuts.

I'd happily overpay for a Batman, but Brown, IMO, is a Robin.
