Just clean house from the owners on down. Let's start over with a new owner, gm, coach, and 95% of the players.

Re: Brad Stevens Thread – Finding The Way
Wyc just wants to field a perennial playoff team with a couple stars to put fans in seats, move merchandise, and not spend money to win titles.
Brad is content to keep his job by not rocking the boat. I half believe Mazzulla is blackmailing them to be head coach - no sane observer watched the 2022-23 Celtics meltdown every 4th quarter or lose to teams like Orlando multiple times and think all is well. Maybe Brad secretly doesn't want a coach after him winning a title when he couldn't for 8 years.
Rob Pelinka looking competent compared to Milquetoast Brad.

Anyone remember that Simpsons episode where Flanders becomes the principal? Yeah kind of the same logic applies here. So freaking soft.

Brad not talking about how we missed Gallo and how we could've used him in the ECF had me gain more respect for him haha. He could've used Gallo as an excuse for the Cs underachieving!

This franchise is **** done... stick a fork in them. Forget championships or championship caliber play. Forget accountability, defense, sensible offense, players who can dribble, have heart, composure and IQ. What a disgrace this is turning out to be. Almost as bad, if not worse, after the Kyrie debacle.

Not true. We will have Joe with no assistants on the bench and Gallo will be our only addition.

They were done after the 86 season.
1 title since then. And now we have to believe if not for the Ainge and McHale friendship, that trade to bring KG here would not have happened. 2008 title would not have happened.

Some fans are "casual" fans and some are much more knowledgeable. But seems like 90% of all agree.. Yet we won't make any changes.. Starting with our way over his head coach. Then add in Iso-centric players with no respect for our coach, then you have Basketball Purgatory.
There seems like No escape from this madness.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

As I keep saying, Joe and other issues are simply symptoms of the disease called Brad.

What you keep saying is not particularly profound or insightful.

Re: Brad Stevens Thread – Finding The Way
I'm surprised people are actually shocked Mazzulla is coming back. His only chance of not coming back was if we got swept. But the team fought back to force a game 7. We all knew Brad and Wyc would bring him back after that.
Joe was not where near decent in the playoffs outside of a few games. That being said, Al struggled all playoffs with his shot. Rob has jogging down the floor like a 36 year old, 350 lb Shaq out there. Brown got outplayed by Caleb Martin. Tatum was up and down.
Brown and Brogdon were terrible in the Heat series but both were dealing with arm/elbow issues that impacted their shooting or lack thereof.
My point is Joe wasn't the only issue. There were a lot as I mentioned above. Thrown in Wyc and the owners and Brad for not getting a solid assistant coach with NBA coaching experience and for doing absolutely nothing to address two on our glaring weaknesses. A legit bench and wing to add to our top 7-8 man rotation.

I have been proclaiming all season that Joe was not a good coach. Many argued at first, but now many more have to agree. Never really said anything too negative about Brad as a GM.. He wasn't perfect but I thought he really made some good Moves..
But it appears his major weakness as a coach is/was that he is too Nice. Didn't hold players accountable. Now his being Too Nice and Not holding "anyone??" accountable may be a disaster from the POBO position.
Whether it's a CEO, Captain of a Ship, Police commander or POBO of a NBA team, it's not just if you are smart enough to be in Charge by itself, but sometimes you have to be able to make "tough" Decisions... Brad failed at that as a coach and now it "seems" he is failing again for similar reasons.
If he doesn't make significant changes I will lead the attack on getting rid of him..
Please Brad don't go soft on me..

Exactly. I am not sure why anyone thought Brad was going to do anything else but circle the wagons and publicly support the coaching staff and players in the first two days after their season finished.
The only thing that really matters is the actual decisions and moves he makes between now and training camp or now and the trade deadline.
