As clearly a better team we already won this game and the whole series, but our biggest mistake would be to have a mindset like we already won the 2023 ring (ask the Bucks and Celtics). Before game#1 vs Lakers, I warned that the Lakers beat in game #1 Memphis and GSW both and stole home-court advantage busting confidence as well. In game #1 this playoff Heat beat the Bucks, Knicks, and Celtics on the road, and the rest is history. Don't expect an easy win because they are tired... nope, Miami Heat is the most dangerous in game #1. The Nuggets' last loss at the home court was back in March, so if we stay focused only a miracle can save Heat.

Heard that team that went on to a series after a 7-game series to face a team with at least a 5-day layoff has a 1-8 record against the rested team....I can see that trend continuing. We are also 2-0 against them in the RS

Miami started 3rd with 7-0 and 4th with 8-0, which is the only thing that prevented this game turned into a blowout win. Maybe *just* +11 is a better scenario for guys to stay down to Earth because really need a 2-0 lead to stay in our comfort zone.

i think you'll need Gordon to be as aggressive and look for his shots early. That really opened up a lot of things for Denver, and exposed Miami's obvious weakness this series (size).

Miami needs major contributions from Butler to have a chance in the series. I'm thrilled for the G1 win and think DEN is going to really even play better in G2, incorporating Jokic even more in the offense.

With the last time the Heat led at 7-6 in the 1st, this seemed a bit too easy. I fully expect to see more Zone from MIA, more attacking the rim as well as them hitting a few more 3's than they did. Felt like the altitude, fatigue just got a hold of them in Game 1. I would like to see Joker more aggressive early, seems like the refs were letting them play, I don't expect that trend to continue.
