I just went through and cleaned out a bunch of outdated junk and deleted some of the useless spread sheets. Eventually I'll clean out the main results page (there's a lot of useless stats on there that just clutter it) and we'll have a page called the hall of fame for winning teams and a trophy room page.

I like the results page with standings each year, total points, avg finish, etc. Some of that may feel meaningless to some but I like it. Kind of like when the Suns had the 4th or 5th best winning % until we had our decade of lotto finishes.

The total points stuff is meaningless unfortunately now that we've had enough teams changing hands. It's also quite a bit of effort to maintain the actual spreadsheet with total points because, again, teams keep changing hands.

The average placing is very important though and we'll be keeping that. And of course championships and top 3 finishes will be added. We'll get rid of lowest placing too (tanking is a fact of life at this point and lowest placing is already incorporated into ). Highest placing can be kept as its parallel to championships won and top 3 finishes.

Its honestly less of cutting room floor and more of a cleaning up and reorganizing the stuff into a more accessible and aesthetically pleasing manner. There's other things that I will be adding too, and stats like championships/top 3 finishes will be emphasized more than they are now.

Is it possible to make pick ups/drops for free agents now?

No, not until after the draft, and then I think it is waiver first and then free agents.

Btw, thanks for having me. Im vince aka Perkinsfor3. Been around Realgm for about 20 years now, and been playing Fantasy basketball since about 2000. Favorite team: Sonics, and favorite player now is Dame, so rooting for the Blazers since he got drafted. Live in the Netherlands and work as an investor managing an early stage VC fund. I travel for work quite a bit and as such spend a lot of time in the US every year. Father of two (12 and 2 year old boys).

Wow, the Netherlands. I don't think we've had anyone on our forum from there, at least out of those who have said where they are from. I'm sure that is a place many would love to visit. The Sonics were always a fun team. I was at the game where Rex Chapman hit a crazy 3 after catching a pass and jumping out of bounds, for a playoff win (or tie to go into OT). Dame is one of the most likable players as well, and seems to always talk about and maybe want to play with probably my favorite Sun ever, Bridges. Managing an early stage VC fund has to be exciting too. Funding some good startups?

Ah fun fact btw... I started watching in 1992 when Dream Team killed in in Barca. It was actually Chuck who made me an NBA fan. Loves his game and the Suns games were among the first games I watched - mostly vs Chicago, but also obtained some VHS tapes which featured the Sonics. Kemp and Payton won me over. But always followed the Suns, been a Manning fan, and liked Finley a lot. Tisdale too. After that team was broken up, I lost the soft spot for the Suns to be honest. I do have fond memories of the insane season where you guys, and the Mavs, had about 50 different players suiting up for you. The teams where you had KJ, Chapman, Kidd, Nash, and more guards on the same team. Insanity.

I actually invested in a company based in Phoenix: Schola. I will probably visit them again in September or early next year. Did a bunch of other fun ones too, but mostly on the West Coast and Mountain West region, plus NYC. One in Vancouver, a couple in Kentucky, then the rest in Scandinavia and the UK. Its exciting work. Learning a lot from all these great founders and smart people. Bit stressful with the sh*tty marco economics right now, but we'll manage.

Ps if you guys ever decide to visit the Netherlands let me know. At first, Ill try to convince you to spend your time more wisely and visit other parts of Europe. If I dont succeed, Id be happy to show you around and buy you a beer.

Yeah, I started watching a few years before that when the Suns got KJ and their team went from like 28 to 55 wins and got to the conf finals in KJ's first full year. They made it again the next year, taking out the defending champion and MVP Magic in 5 in the 2nd round.

Would have been nice to get over the hump. A couple of tough years there for the Sonics losing in 7 in the conference finals to Barkley and then blowing that 2-0 lead to the 8th seeded Nuggets in the first round.

Two quick questions:

What do the lottery odds look like?
How many rounds are there in the draft? Im assuming 5?

Lottery was completed already. You've got the 8th pick I think. We use a tiered system with four tiers of 4 teams. The order is random within each tier. Like for example I finished 3rd (so I'd be in the last tier, picks 13-16), but Im picking dead last.

5 rounds assuming you keep 7 players and not 8. The first round occasionally has less than 16 teams picking. The teams that kept 8 just get skipped.

Thanks for clearing up the system, it was mostly for me to understand the process for next year.

.....and it's gone. Me and Perkinsfor3. I'll be eagerly watching what happens with Ja now lol

Me: #3/Tari Eason/Mark Williams/#28 (2nd round pick)
Perkins: #8/Ja/Thomas Bryant/(5th round pick)

My team is young and provided Ja doesn't get banned for life, I can deal with him being gone for a few.......(hope he isn't gone for life lol)

Yeah I hope so. It's gonna be at least 20 in order to keep him from getting the needed 65 games to make all NBA. So I expect that at the minimum. If I had to guess it'll be between 20-50 games.

Probably around 40 if I had to give a number. Hope it's less obviously lol.

Just remember its off season for us right now so theres a chance some people dont respond. although our fantasy members are usually some of the more active users, so that helps.

I used to live in Maastricht when I was younger. Pretty cool little spot. Could get to Germany in 10 mins, Belgium in 10 mins, but lived in the Netherlands. Did a bunch of traveling living over there for sure.

Oooh Maastricht is lovely. I live in Rotterdam, which has developed a lot. Been there as well? I bet youve seen Aachen, Cologna etc as well. Great spot if you want to see multiple countries!
