Game 2 of the ECF was the last time you showed up to play? How do you put up 50 plus against the Bucks then turn to bench warmer status? :banghead:

You're not old like me. You should be able to carry one team to a title just on your talents and abilities.

I think butler just isn’t good enough.. he’s a conplimentary piece… but he is not a superstar.. just a good hard working player..

His staying calm and guaranteeing it will improve got him to as many Finals as Karl Malone and more than Barkley.

He is outmatched. The only hope the Heat have is to play bigger with the bigs. They won’t win it all playing small

OP is ignoring that Miami's supporting cast shot terribly for Game 1 of the NBA Finals. They went for a combined 2-23 from the field.

He has led a cast of 4 and 5 options and Bam Adebayo, who's choosing to play well every 3rd game at this point, to the NBA Finals. At some point it catches up with you. The series obviously isn't over but Denver is just flat out a better team from top-to-bottom. The Heat's run through the Bucks. Knicks, and Celtics was super impressive. Butler deserves credit, not scorn.

P.S. Having said that, he played like crap in game 1. I have no doubt he'll turn it around.

Even if Butler scores 35, Miami loses anyway for Game 1. Denver laid off the gas pedal late in the 4th quarter. That's why the final score is closer than actual game was.

He hasn't been great for a while, needs to play less passive but he's hurt probably. Heat are looking screwed.
