Even 3 more makes would have kept us closer, and might have affected how Denver played defense and their overall comfort level as well as ours.

Of course they shot 3s even worse than we did, which is out of character for them.

Denver dominated game 1 in so many ways that they were able to get away with shooting < 30% from 3 and win without really sweating.

I believe 1-3 or 0-3 to be the death knell. I'll take anything else to get to 4 wins.

Also keep in mind Shaq/Zo/Wade's 06 ring when down 0-2 was 2-3-2 format.

I think we should start Kevin Love at center and let him guard Jokic. I know Love is not a great defender but at least his presence will force Jokic to have to defend the perimeter since Love is a 3pt shooter.

That won't happen. Jokic will simply match up with Bam on defense.

I know a lot of people hating and saying we're better without Herro but I don't think another shot maker off the bench will hurt us too much despite his defensive deficiencies

If we go too cold and are DOA we're gonna need to adjust and force Herro in there at some point if he's ready to go.

Needs a big game 2. He’s been off for a while now.

We done run through tough/tall defenders. They put everybody on Jimmy including Giannis, Lopez, Tatum, Williams & we've come away victors. We're supposed to be scared of Gordon, Porter Jr, old ass Jeff Green & Jokic & his slow foot speed?

Refs tonight: MIA 3- 5 - DEN 3-1.

Am i Crazy thinking HighSmith and even Jovic need to get real minutes here?

We need all the size and shooting we can get in this match up, going supersmall won't work long term here, worth a gamble for a few minutes

Need to find an answer for Aaron Gordon. Would like to see how Highsmith matches up with him and if so to start him and play him big minutes. Have to at least get on even terms with Denver in terms of matchups

Definitely crazy. The rook hasnt played all year, its not in Spo’s DNA to go that route. Yurtseven seeing the floor is more likely than Jovic, and even that is a long shot.

Did we already adjust for this after the first half of game 1? In the second half, I barely saw anymore easy seal offs in the paint to exploit the size mismatches that happened earlier in the game. Did Miami make more of an emphasis of switching out of mismatches off ball?

I know +/- from a single game is pretty noisy, but I do find it curious that the 2 smallest guys in our rotation were the only 2 guys that didn't have a negative +/- from game 1 (Lowry at +2 and Gabe at 0). Could that be a signal that we're better off forcing them to adjust to our playstyle rather than trying to play their game?

Regardless, I'm hoping we see some Kevin Love in game 2 in hopes that he can give us some positive offensive possessions and stay hidden enough on defense while having a stretch with more size on the floor. Highsmith has definitely earned more minutes as he is well equipped to badger Murray while still keeping more functional size on the floor to not get exploited on mismatches created through screens and switching.

The tricky part is that it's important for our offensive system to get good minutes from our quick-trigger movement shooters (mostly Duncan and Strus). After last game, they need to be on a shorter leash.

We need efficient games from our stars and our shooters need to make shots. Pray to god we get calls and Jimmy and Bam attack with force and actually get calls
