Yeah I don’t think the Poetlt trade was for playoff revenue per se. It was more of, starting C is our glaring weakness, let’s get a starter there and see what this group is capable of. With all the parity and the Nets blowing it up, Masai probably thought we had a chance at a middle seed and maybe a first round win, or worst case, a lower seed and some additional playoff experience. They underestimated how bad the team was.

At this point idc what Masai does as long as he picks a direct direction this team will be going in....Its either hes trying to compete right now and stack the deck with as much win now ready players as he can get or he goes young and trades away the players on paper that keep us a decent team....
You either trade the 13th pick + Barnes for a legit superstar to pair with Siakam/FVV (Who that player is idk) and you make a legit push to contend in the Eastern conference or you Trade Siakam/S&T FVV And go full young around Barnes timeline...
No more trying to play both sides of the coin cause if you try and do that your just waiting for the inevitable rebuild that will happen anyways cause your team will never be good enough and your just wasting valuable seasons where you could have already picked a direction and been farther along with the process.
