I know some people have a higher pain tolerance than others, but I don't see Jimmy out there limping, wincing, and grimacing. He simply looks gassed. There were some possessions in transition he was having a hard time getting over half court. To his credit he spent a lot of energy on defense locking down Jamal Murray, and the excuse I've read for other players when they aren't producing on offense is that they do so much defensively, so I'll live with that..it's not like he wasn't putting shots up. We are just going to have to embrace the "15 strong" mentality and keep getting production across the board.

Just finished watching the replay. I didn’t get to see the whole game because of work.

- Bam was exceptional on both ends. Disruptive defensively, soft floater and took the right middies, forceful at the rim. Not often you can say a guy who got 41 dropped on him was Player of the Game, but he was for mine.

- Nnamdi is going to get paid a lot of money this offseason. Spo is in love, no chance he goes anywhere but we should be somewhat expectant of this deal going Duncanesque at some stage.

- Speaking of Duncan, how nice was that fourth quarter. The pump fake into rhythm three, the stone cold three and the two takes at the rim. Duncan’s cutting, finishing at the rim and playmaking have come on leaps and bounds in the playoffs. His defensive shortcomings also don’t feel as big at the moment.

- Jimmy is struggling out there, but hes still contributing. I don’t know if it’s the ankle or something else, but he isn’t moving well and has no burst at all. Playmaking was great to get shooters good looks, and his defense on Murray was excellent. I hope he can find some juice at home.

- Starting Love was the right move. I get why Spo stuck with Caleb in game 1 after the Celtics series he had, but Love was so important tonight. His stats won’t show how good he played, but the outlet passing, rebounding and floor spacing he provided is important in this matchup.

- that end of third quarter Zeller stint was Brutal. Woy. Spo needs to find a solution here, it’s Dedmonesque right now.

- Nice to see Max start out hot and get the jitters out after a horrid game 1. Hope he can carry it over for game 3.

- Still feels like we can play better. The shooting may not be as hot as it was today, but Caleb and Jimmy have been down vs where I expect them to be. Herro coming back as another available option is an interesting wrinkle we can add too. It’s a tough ask after being out so long, and given we’ve played so well without him, tough call but I’ll back Spo either way. He’s earned the faith and trust to make these decisions.

Good overall breakdown of the game Wilt. I wanted to touch on Gabe (pause) because Spo brought up post game this is a scoring guard that we have been developing into a point.

Like the Spurs, we have a system where we develop guys into certain roles. Thus some players become much more valuable for the ability to play their role in our system than they would anywhere else. A lot of fans act like we just shouldn't pay anybody but Gabe is a guy that is continuing to prove his value. He's never going to be in anyone's top 5 pg list but he plays his role to a T and helps the engine run. For the Dragic fans, he used to rave about the kind of player he though Vincent would be.

Miami isn't Golden State of 2015. Get a f***ing man on them, and they'll miss their 3's. Funnel them into perimeter shots. We did none of that tonight.

Sure am glad we didn't lose to the Bulls in the play in like I wanted.

Whatever happens - one the best runs I EVER saw.

So happy for Gabe, Duncan, Bam - they got all the hate and just kept working.

Keep pushing....

I have a feeling that they'll try harder to guard the three point line next game, if it won't hurt Jokic's ability to be effective on that side of the floor

Considering their lack of rim protection and emphasis on packing the paint so far in the series, that would be a major win for us. Open season for us to attack the paint and put more stress on Jokic (zap his energy) needing to cover more ground and face more difficult rim attacks. It would be delightful to get him in foul trouble.

EVERYTHING Denver does is grounded in Jokic. The team is a galaxy that orbits him. Without the sun, the orbiting parts have no direction.

By who? Everyone has to understand the shots he's taking are/will be Herro's shots. Even if you talk about moving Herro, you're going to be bringing back probably another high volume shooter. Butler, Bam, Herro and even Martin are going to be taking 50-55 shots a night, that doesn't leave a whole lot of shots for everyone else... Martin, Robinson, Strus, Vincent, Lowry(or wheover you get from trading him) Love(if he's back), Jovic, 1st round pick, a backup 5. At some point you have to decide who your main scorers are and then pay less for roleplayers.... and also develop your next batch of low-priced guys like Jovic, Cain, Bouyea, Robinson, 1st round pick.

Don't let another 30-11 late season create more bad contracts.

Oh wow, a fire has been lit in Bam. We’re getting no fuxks given Bam in these finals. What are they apologizing to him for?

Anyone figure out what happened here? Apparently the guy is a Heat media staffer. Unless it was some egregious mistake, not a great look to be treating someone in the organization like that just bc they're low on the totem pole and you can. Seems like something he could've just shaken his head at and walked away rather than pointing his finger at him and berating him.

Some of my favorite teams never won a championship. Loved the 2014 Bulls that got beat by Miami 4-1 in the 2nd round, they did take out that hyped up Brooklyn Nets team in the first round with low post Brook Lopez, D.Williams, J.Johnson, G.Wallace (who they traded the draft pick that became... D.Lillard) and Kris Humphries who was ex-husband #2 for Kim Kardashian.

Always try to win, it's a mantra I love about the Heat franchise, you never know what will happen in the playoffs with players rising to the moment and of course some key injuries here and there.

Absolute facts!!! 2 games into the finals and both better than any we saw from Bosh!!

Oh boy the last time you started gloating about Bam, he proceeded to put up a bunch of stinkers while Boston won 3 straight. How about we table this until after the job is done lol. Then you can talk all yo ish and everyone can admit you were right. But not before then. :D

Nah he hasn't stopped gloating about Bam. You just notice it when you want to. Maybe it's time you start believing in Bam based on all the things he does on the floor that are crucial to our team's success and are tailor-made to succeed in NBA playoff basketball.

If you notice, most of our clean looks on offense begin by getting Jokic into the on-ball action and creating space opportunities as a result.

Shootit wrote:What's impressive to me is watching Spo grow as a coach. Gets thrown the Big 3, a talented roster with some egos, and gets 2 Chips out of them. The big 3 leave, the team enters a dead zone but you can see a new shift in how the team is being constructed, what's wanted out of players. And then once Riley acquires Butler the roster is full of the same hunger from everyone.
We went from a team that was constructed to feed the top 3, to a roster that you don't know who may end up being the top scorer.
Anyone can step up, from Butler, Bam, Strus, Martin, Robinson, Lowry, Vincent, Herro etc.
Really am enjoying this team, how it's constructed and how they play as an unit.
Every player knows what they have to do. There is no quit in them. Spo really has done a great job in the game prep, getting the most out of players and putting them in spots to succeed.

The mindset from all 15 guys is the same.

I think the loss to the Spurs in 2014 had an outsized impact on Spo as a coach. The style of beautiful team ball that completely dismantled Miami in that Finals is the archetype for Spo. He's been building his own flexible version of that basketball ever sense

Very true. And you won't say it but I will. Bam has been allowed to be garbage on offense but credited for having a "good floor game" and superior defense and "doing the little things" in multiple games in multiple series. Not that I don't think that's fair, but we literally give no other role players that pass and that's one thing. THE LEAST we can do, however, is give our guy Jimmy that same grace. He is clearly struggling, possibly because of rest or his knee/ankle, and is gutting through it. Despite that, other than efficiency, at the end of the night his and Bam's actual outputs were relatively equal. It was Jimmy locking up Jamal Murray, and it was Jimmy drawing all the defensive attention that freed other guys up.

Yes, I'm frustrated with his play the last few games as well, but 1) I'm confident he will pick it up and 2) I can already see the criticism of him being used divisively. Sick of the smiling faces and hidden agendas of player fans, I thought we got rid of the stink of that bs when LeBron left.
