Credit to Herro for being upfront about his injury and thinking about the team first

Live in the moment, we have the best cap people to worry about that stuff

Lowry will be on an expiring so that could entice some teams who want some veteran leadership off the bench.
How Duncan is shooting the ball it could open up trades for him. But who knows?
You think Gabe and Strus are just gonna have to walk and sign else where since we can’t afford them?
Moving players this summer basically means taking salary back, so the salary is going to be there for next year, they needed to move players this last season for expiring contracts to clear the space. Not sure anyone is really going to be happy to take Lowry or Robinson in their cap space without being well compensated for it.
If Miami overpays for Strus or Vincent I don't want to hear any more about the lesser talent in Miami, the FO is paying these guys big bucks then you're decided they're talented more than EVERYONE thought after the 1st playin game. Don't get caught up in the moment.... it's continuously screws this franchise for years in the future, it's why Robinson and Herro are overpaid. Personally, I'd rather have Vincent than Herro especially since he should cost much less money and someone may give you some good assets for him.
The salary cap gets much more difficult starting this summer, it's not your old salary cap and with that, some talent that would be hoarded by the high salary rosters will now be more available.
Usually when teams trade for an expiring deal it's to move longer term contracts. That' probably what would be coming back.
Right, you won't be dumping salaries which is the point. If Miami is dumping salary they're having to throw in assets which will continue the problems of not many assets to make moves.

That's where I think that money should go.
Maybe in reality What you just said would be the obvious choice... Easier said than done cause you want the cake and you want to eat it too.
But remember, Our results this post season have been one in a million, Our team has come together like few have in history, Even though individually they are not great great talents
we really need herro Or someone that plays like him...plus a forward/center that fits spo fancy
If there's one thing you can be sure of in this world besides death and taxes, it's that Dipo is exercising that player option.

We should pay taxes. Contenders do. Also, we have Bird Rights for Strus and Vincent, so we can pay to keep them. Duncan Robinson's contract looks much better today than it did a month ago. It's 11.3% of 2023-2024 cap and will decrease still further the next season. I would look to move Lowry, but otherwise keep the team together.

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

by the way, Jimmy was able to take a game from the Nuggets.
Lebron got swept.
With Anthony Davis on his team.

I'm basically expecting us to bring back Jae Crowder for vet min this offseason. He didn't really fit a role for MIL so he has tanked his value sufficiently. I think he still has juice left in the tank and we know our system suits him well.
Crowder and Pat Bev us what I’m thinking. Think Dragic slides in the UD role too

Do you think there is even a market for the likes of strus and Gabe? I doubt they get over 10m seeing as how Gabe isn’t a true point and more of a 3 & D shot creator and Strus can be streaky.
Reports are that teams love Gabe after these playoffs and teams were trying to get Strus from us at the deadline. I’d say there will be a decent market but we move different over here. I think they’ll sign here for similar deals to Martin if that’s what the Heat want.

I doubt it. If I'm them I go for the biggest contract they can get. Why not? This is their life and career. If money is similar then stay with the Heat, but otherwise go for the pay day.

We’ll see, I think their bond with the Heat and the career arcs will say differently but we’ll see

Anyone figure out what happened here? Apparently the guy is a Heat media staffer. Unless it was some egregious mistake, not a great look to be treating someone in the organization like that just bc they're low on the totem pole and you can. Seems like something he could've just shaken his head at and walked away rather than pointing his finger at him and berating him.
He’s not a Heat guy lol
Oh, he's not? Are you sure? Tall guy saying 'its not Michaels fault, it's my fault'.

Oh he's definitely a Heat guy, always around the team. I've wondered what his role was, so thanks for digging through and finding him.
Maybe 3ammy was referring to the other guy who came in apologizing, which might be true. Either way, felt like whatever it was, wasn't a good look for any of our players to be going off on someone (Heat employee or otherwise) like that, especially on national TV.

Just heard an interesting stat, moving Love to PF allowed Butler to cover Murray in the half court 35 times in game 2 whereas he only covered him 4 times in game 1, this needs to continue to allow Miami to slow down one of Jokic or Murray... it's an easy choice since nobody can really slow down Jokic.

Lol dude we've been over this. Nobody actually hates Bam. I hate when he does soft **** like fadeaways against 6'4" guards, but in general I like Bam and want to see him be the best version of himself. Which includes treating people in the organization with respect. Notice I did give him an out, if the guy did something egregious. You're too sensitive about it to see the difference.
