I'm viewing this as Joe's replacement to me Cassel is already a better coach with more experience, championship caliber, and better demeanor.
But in reality I feel like brad is making a huge mistake by keeping Joe we don't have time to develop a Coach every year is wasting the jays time. They keep getting to ec with multiple coaches imagine if they actually had a veteran caliber coach!! As far as I'm concerned if Joe's the head coach we ain't winning 18 so.

Who cares about anything Boston Sports Radio related

Yes Cassell can easily take over for Joe if he's fired, but Boston sports radio is worse than listening to nails on chalkboard for 10 hours straight

Most of us (myself included) don't know more than one or two assistant coaches at any one time.
Damon Stoudemire.
Larranaga.
Evan Turner lol.
Thibs.
Uhm...
Jim O'Brien, I guess
uhm...
Jimmy Rogers

To put it another way, did any of us know who Joe Mazzulla was before last September? I think I Googled him when they hired him, then quickly moved on to analyzing UDFA on the SL circuit.

Man I forgot how old this guy was in Boston, he was 38 on that title team lol. Still put up a great season at 34 years old, 19/7/3 with good efficiency. Not many guys doing that at that point.

If Rondo comes in as an assistant he can only be the ATO assistant coach. Can't play any slower lol.

They had the 2 biggest playoff chokers of all time. Doc and Harden.

Sam has worked for Doc through a lot of his choke jobs, has he not?

Yes. I don’t think he was on the staff in Boston. Lots of similarities between Doc and Joe (unfortunately) but think Sam is a player the guys will respond well to. He won’t make or break anything, and Joe will still probably get in his own way next season but hopefully it’s mitigated a bit with Sam’s experience.

Really do want Rondo too though.

Cassell isn't the reason why they choked lol.

Cassell also has 3 rings. None of our other coaches or any of our players have any.
