Black looks like an interesting prospect with NBA translatable skills. Good to do our homework on everyone in the draft.

Wings

This year's Jaylen Williams for me is Maxwell Lewis.

Dariq Whitehead is the other wing I like.

Other guys that i'd take a flyer on --

Julian Strawther
Keyontae Johnson

I really like this tape. He looks like he has a really deep bag on offense. Great jump shot, a floater, and people struggle to stay in front of him. A lot of the cons look fixable. Just need to get him stronger so teams can't target him on defense, but he's got decent length at least.

Another interesting prospect. Great size, under control dribble, tons of versatility and counters, but hasn't figured out his 3 ball yet. Though, some of the scouting reports I've read think his mechanics are solid. If he were to figure out his 3 even a little bit, that could be a nice draft steal.

Yes, one thing I've learned from DEN success is that an elite shooter / big wing such as Porter (even after 3 back injuries) can make a big difference. Also this is why Connelly gave him 180 mil for 5 year (and that is why Connelly was widely criticized as DEN GM)

Nikola Djurisic fits this archetype: big, mobile wing 6'8" with good shooting touch. IF we can get such shooter in 2nd round AND sign him to Gupta special it will be absolutely huge for organisation future. Because Anderson, TP contracts expire, Minott is not a natural shooter. We need a shooter to make our core efficient in offense.

Reece Beekman seems like this year's Andrew Nembard. He'd be a natural target for us in the second round.

Skills beyond your size is definitely something I'm looking for. Even more than shooting, but quickness and feel are two things I'm looking for. Continue to churn out more Naz Reids, Kyle Andersons and Jaden McDanielses who can play up and down the lineup in many combinations.

One guy I've seen later in mocks who really intrigues me is Tristan Vukcevic. On a lesser level, Coleman Hawkins is interesting to me if he stays in the draft.

Two key positions to look at in this draft are PG and PF.
PG rankings
1. Black
2. Hood
3. Wallace
4. Bailey
5. Beekman
(Left Scoot off because we have no shot)

PF
1. Hendricks
2. Clowney
3. Jackson
4. Vukcevic
5. Hawkins

I don’t know enough about the off the court stuff with Brandon Miller, but he is going to be good.

Disappointed to see Reece Beekman is going back to school. Was hoping that we'd snag him with the 2nd round pick.

I think the biggest thing is that he seems to take a lot of tough pull up 3s. Reign in the tough shots unless he can start hitting them.. and he improves as a prospect either way.

Terrence Shannon too. Of guys realistically available where Minnesota will be picking he was one of my favorite options.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

I wonder if this is indicating that this draft is strong and deep, while next draft is weak?

That’s some high level shooting upside here. I wonder how much more Gobert impact will be felt if we get an elite shooter.

Modern day Ray Allen.

Imagine...
we could have Ant Man and Hawkeye on our team. Now if only KAT could be an Iron Man and stay healthy. We could avenge the Joe Smith deal, the refs in 2004, Sam Cassel's hip, Jimmy General Soreness, Rosas' extra curricular activities, not picking Curry, Kobe blowing out Rubio's knee, the list goes on.

I’m watching “Shooting Stars” on Peacock, and hadn’t heard that one of the actors was Scoot Henderson!

Clearly he’s following in Ant’s footsteps, and will want to come here to create a Hollywood of the North.

I have to think Orlando has Hawkins in their sites at 11, or even 6. Would be perfect for them.

Can't stop thinking about how intriguing Naz and Taylor Hendricks combo might be. A center who can beat other bigs off the dribble but can't defend, and PF who can defend and hit open threes.
