Lebron vs Steph is at least an interesting debate. Lebron vs Steph who is 6'7 and also arguably the best perimeter defender of all-time? That clearly wins.

Steph has such touch; Pippen gives Steph the ability to shoot over people Tatum style.

Klay and Dray is enough. Steph Pippen does not need Durant.

But Steph Pippen is a small forward so he gets to pay with 2 guards. Klay and Barbosa and Klay and Poole.

Iguodala and Wiggins become back up defensive stoppers.

The combo player almost always wins in these hypotheticals.

Steph is already pretty unstoppable as is, now you give him size at 6’7, and make him one of the best defenders ever? MJ and LeBron would be a tier below

To give size and elite defence to the best all time shooter with great handles and passing skills it would be a crime to basketball.

I think Steph Pippen would be comfortably better than MJ.

Not really. Again, we're only taking the strongest attributes from both players. So in this case, three point shooting and defense. That's not enough to make you better than MJ, let alone LeBron.

And VanWest, your comparison is way off. Steph Pippen is basically MJ? No he's not. Pippen's style of defense is very different from how MJ played that end, who specialized more in one on one defense than he did team defense like Pippen did. And only shooting threes instead of twos? Yeah, that's not how this works. How Curry got his offense is very different from how MJ did, not to mention how they played off the ball.

We have at best the greatest 3/D player the game will have ever seen, which I'm completely fine with. But I don't think that makes him better than MJ.

The extra size will also make Steph a better scorer than he already is.

Sure but how good is his ball handling? How good is his off ball play? If you’re able to get away with just sticking a good defender in front of him with or without the ball, that’s going to be problematic. Things like this matter.

Steph Curry already dominates LeBron, Steph Pippen would kill him.
