His value is somewhat low, whereas Fultz might be as high as he has been in several years.

Cunningham?

If he could be had for Fultz, Suggs, and 4 FRPs, then the Magic fleeced the Pistons. Any trade conversation for Cunningham starts with F-Wagner. So: this is a non-starter.

I think, with the new CBA things might be a little different, and they have Ivey. So I was thinking maybe Fultz, 6, 24pick, and DEN pick, (whatever picks it would take in subsequent years.)

I think he's more gettable than a Lillard or Luka, etc. With him being the primary passer + Suggs + Franz + Paolo + WCj and a better bench by actually using pick 11 and 36 in this draft we could be set. Resolving any issues we can via free agency.

not sure im seeing it with him. bad, high volume shooter on a bad team. i definitely wouldnt trade multiple 1sts for him and no way with Franz.

Yeah, I would not trade Franz or the haul that drsd laid out. I think it's easier to get him, and he could fit in at SG, with Suggs or Cole as PG.

Suggs like efficiency without the defense.. 4 1st round picks+ Suggs for Cade is horrible. I am higher on Ivey than Cade. I would easily give up #6+ a future 1st.

If Grady Dick is available at #10 (Mavericks)
Magic trade Franz Wagner for Grady Dick

Magic get a fresh rookie contract for the next Reggie Miller
Magic get rid of Franz’s bad traits (lack of clutch)

Dallas gets Luka + Franz duo

Grady Dick is going to be better than Franz Wagner
Neither can play D
Franz lacks clutch and is intimidated
Grady is not as good at driving, but we don’t need that with Paulo

Are you serious?

Franz is an incredible defender…

Gradey shouldn’t even get drafted in lottery IMO.

In before “magic should go after CP3”
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Gary Trent Jr's young age and the player option he is likely declining could mean he winds up expensive. It's a real question on whether it's smart to go for a pure shooter with that money who gives you practically nothing else in rebounds, assists or defense. Terrence Ross filled that spot for us for a bit and it didn't go well at all (COMPLETELY admitting Ross was declining at the time while Trent still has time on his side).

It comes down to roster construction and what the FO needs that SG spot to be. If it's a 3rd scorer and nothing else, Trent makes a ton of sense. I'm curious if they have loftier goals of maybe prying away a star on a team who wants to rebuild using their cache of picks and assets. I'd certainly pursue that route first and then the draft next and then see Trent as an option C for that SG slot if it were me.

This rebuild has gone extremely well so far. I'm pumped to see what happens next. A lot of teams are going to look very different after June 22.

Bringing in Grant Williams could mean to the end of the Okeke era.

Let's say the Magic sign these two, release G-Harris and Okeke (or trade them for SRPs), and resign M-Wagner, the Magic is:

Fultz/Anthony
Trent/Suggs/Houstan
F-Wagner/Bol
Banchero/Williams/Isaac
Carter/Bitadze/M-Wagner

Add the two FRPs, and the off-season is complete.

Then it's all Hive-Fives and Well done for and by WeHamm.

:)

..
2 FRP for backup SF + backup C

Bilal + Lively
Ausar + Lively
Gradey + Lively (I don't support Gradey w/ #6)

Or don't sign Grant and sign Naz Reid instead. Then, draft a PF + wing

Hendricks + Bilal
Hendricks + Gradey

His value is somewhat low, whereas Fultz might be as high as he has been in several years.

Cunningham?
.If he could be had for Fultz, Suggs, and 4 FRPs, then the Magic fleeced the Pistons. Any trade conversation for Cunningham starts with F-Wagner. So: this is a non-starter.

I love Cunningham and think he would be a perfect guard on the Magic, but Franz has to have a good bit more value than Cade at this point. Franz already has two solid seasons on the books, while Cade has 1.5 pretty, meh...arguably bad seasons.

I am not sure there is a good trade...but if the Pistons loved Amen, and fully believe in Ivey...6+11+another future first is a pretty strong offer. Cade has been driven off the lot, and it's not clear how realizable his outcomes are going to be....kind of the same way Suggs value isn't close to 5th overall pick value.

Yes, it's another reclamation project, and why I would be willing to trade Fultz + a pick or 2, for a younger previous #1 in Cade. I think there is more chance that Cade pans out as a SG. Let Cole and Suggs figure out who starts and who backs up.
