Even if we go by the logic that Strus a better defender then let's insert Highsmith instead.

Always puts Drob when it’s too late. He needs way more minutes. Play zone every minute he’s out there.

How does Jokic not get called for fouls all night but gets 2 when the game is basically over?

Wonder if Sammy is headed out 4 minutes ago or still sitting in the arena taking in it all in.

Exactly. We are not going to win a 2 point shooting battle against most teams unless Butler goes nuclear. The formula for these playoffs has been winning 3 point shoot decisively to make up for offensive boards and less FTs.
Some of its Denver. Some of its Heat changing their offensive strategy. We didn't run as much plays for shooters, and too much standing around on the Butler post ups. There's need to be a balance between getting those 2 going and running our motion offense. I don't mind Butler post or isos but everyone gotta move around and cut

Keeping the ball moving is the key to wide open 3s. You keep it moving and the defense won't be able to keep up chasing the ball.

probably outsmarted himself. he probably thought denver would make the adjustment and shut down robinson or something. so he tried something else

i have no idea. but honestly, make them prove they can stop something before you stop doing it. if you ever played 2k or madden, if someone cant stop a play, you spam it

Never seen 2 players get luckier with shots In my life. Jokic and Murray, mostly Jokic, literally just throw it up and somehow it always rolls in. It’s infuriating.

Because "Defense".

But our "defense" wasn't stopping their 2 best players anyway. So we should have went to offensive spark earlier.

I was calling for Duncan instead of Lowry after a few mins into the 4th. The two guard lineup with Lowry and Vincent is rarely worth it, and definitely not so when we're struggling to shoot.

Jimmy is not gonna win us a series with our squad missing everything, and getting outrebounded 4-1. Himmy is not coming back. Were winning with role players hitting shots and Bam/Jimmy being efficient.

The effort wasn't there from really anyone except Bam on defense. If you go back to Butler's big games, he's very much more engaged and talkative, he's taking plays off, he's not giving extra effort, maybe he needs his strength to hang out with all his celebrity fans after the game?

All I know is Miami isn't going to win with 2 guys shooting a ton of 2s instead of letting the 3pt shooters keep gunning away. Miami has to pick either Bam or Jimmy to be the scorer, the other being the distributor.

I don't know if Miami can get this series to 6 games (meaning Miami winning 1 more game). Tonight's effort wasn't there and this was a critical game to get.
