Braun just being a rookie is very scary for every other Nba team outside of Denver for the rest of this decade................

Reminiscent of the 2020 Finals
I think Denver wins this in 6, just like us in that series. Ultimately adjusting to a synergistic star duo can be too much (couple in a decent size advantage too), regardless of how well the tactical execution is. Aside from Curry, I think Jokic and Bron are clearly the two hardest players to game-plan for on offense in this century.

Luka as well Tbh the next bad playoff series Luka has..................will be his 1st

Weve seen Steph slowed even locked up plenty of times now. The blueprint is out its a matter of having the personnel for it and the stamina of players to hold up for 6-7 games

If the blueprint is throwing tons of doubles on and off the ball and attracting more attention than any guy ever has and him still doing major damage than I think the Warriors are ok with people using that blueprint.

Aggressive screen coverages and defensive miscommunications?

As much as we rightfully rave about Jokic’s passing he probably the single most unstoppable halfcourt one on one scorer in the league

It's been 20yrs since a center gave this feeling of inevitability scoring 1on1.
Jokic is legitimately Shaq like when left on an island. He has the same ability to generate a legit good look regardless of how a he's being defended. Add in the physicality and how he really makes defenders feel ALL his 7ft 280lbs...yeah Jokic is the new Shaq
And if Jokic is Shaq then that makes Murray *snipper fire*

He has a legitimate argument for being both the best passer and the best scorer in the league.

It’s probably just a fact lol
I think there are areas as a scorer where just him being a post guy that’s not crazy athletic mean he’s just unable to effect or gaps he can’t get through, but like hardly matters when ur this dominant in the halfcourt when the defense is set still

I dont think so. He def didnt look that way against Wolves (26 Ppg on .565ts) who have a strong frontcourt personnel to defend him or when Bron or Rui were his primary defender he struggled to score one on one in halfcourt. He cooked Ad tho.
Bam held him to 12/23 shooting first 2 games which is still good but not unstoppable. Alot of his scoring is off the enormous mismatches he and Murray create off their screen and pick and roll game and then he gets a good deal of offensive putbacks or oreb or assisted 3-5ft shots inside which arent one on one scoring opportunities either. Aside from Bam hes had alot of 1 on 1 opportunities against players like Zeller, Vincent, Jimmy, Love who are way too small or not good defenders
Jokic could be the best scorer in the game but its alot off pick and roll actions, mismatches, offensive rebounds, floaters/layins that are assisted inside. Those arent 1 on 1 halfcourt scoring opportunities like he has no case over Luka as a one on one halfcourt scorer

Matchup data is really broken though right, because it’s help or vicinity counts as well, I’m pretty sure he’s scored pretty well or gotten really good shots against Bam if they don’t help
I agree it’s not like the RS and that he’s not shown he’s like this perfect offensive force without any flaws that can’t be slown down or anything, but still think just compared to some other guys
Been a minute since I’ve seen Luka though, just didn’t feel this inevitable when the help doesnt come to me lol
Vs the wolves wasn’t there a game where he missed a bunch of putbacks that killed his averages

His tipping takes away at least a handful of TS% points. I think Ben had it at 4 or something. The Wolves series was also when he was dealing with his right wrist. He missed a ton of gimmies.

Jokic is both a more resilient and consistent scorer than Curry, and in another plane of existence as a passer.

Re: 2022-23 NBA Season Discussion
I don't get it how Jokic barely got the ball in the 4th, Miami didn't make a comeback, but they weren't actually far off. I wouldn't call it him being "passive", and Murray is probably more to blame for his stupid turnovers, but it seems that one inherent weakness, intrinsic to all big-men, is that when it comes to Jokic he still reliant on his teammates to get him the ball in half-court. LeBron would never.

It's been a long time since I've seen a player climbing the stairs of people's pantheons so fast,in real time, both in the General Board and Player Comparison. it didn't happen with Giannis, Curry, Durant....(you have to go back to Lebron, TD, Shaq).
and Murray is really something to study and analyze.
He went from hot/cold PS player to second...smaller... head of the snake. if he's taken a real step in decision making, the league is screwed against this duo.

It def happened with Giannis...........He had 2 big chokes as the favorite in 2019 and 2020.......then alot seemed to forget overnight after the 2021 title where it was one of the most injury impacted runs in recent history. Ppl were asking if Giannis is top 20 alltime. Is he the best European player ever etc etc........comparing his peak to likes of Hakeem and Timmy which he had no business in those convos. Comparing Giannis accolades at a similar age to Bron and saying hes on pace to reach Bron

Its like ppl didnt remember him dropping off in playoffs before 21..........but the last 2 years now has corrected perceptions back for Giannis..........I dont envision same happening for Jokic...........It feels floodgates will open and hes gonna leave the rest of his gen in the dust including Giannis and Luka...........the Embiid comps are dead forever

Really bad performance by Miami. Denver shot 5-18 from 3 and won comfortably. It's time for Spo to make some adjustments.
