Can't wait until after this series when it's finally revealed what injury Jimmy's been playing through, and all you Jimmy haters eat some serious crow.
Most players are dealing with being hurt at this point. He got hurt in the 2nd round but in the 3rd round (ECF) he put up 62 points in the first 2 games on the road so how is that explained against a defense like Boston has? The answer is that he's good to go physically although may have some ache and pains... he's moving fine he's just not nearly as energetic or talkative as he was in the first round or the first 2 games and last 2 games of the ECF. He was in worse shape in the ECF last year and still was able to play at a top level for games 6 and 7. I do expect we'll see a much more forceful Butler for most of the rest of the series with his back against the wall... and when we do it must be because his "injuries" all of a sudden healed up like they did for certain ECF games the last 2 years, not because he's decided to be more forceful during the game.
Most of Butler's high-level play is based on will and determination, how do Miami fans not see that by now?
Here's you an interesting fact, Butler has had 8 40+ games in a Miami uniform, NONE OF THEM HAVE COME IN THE REGULAR SEASON, isn't he healthy in the regular season? Weird... they mostly come when his back is against the wall meaning there's another gear he can go to when needing to score.
Butler is just built differently; he doesn't care about points which has somewhat hurt him in his career. Him being built differently is why this particular Butler hater has followed his whole career since he joined the NBA.
BTW...
Seems to indicate he's going to be in a different mindset, I hope so.
