Spurs had a league worst -9.9 net rating this season, to put it in perspective.

Giving that the supermax is pretty scary, but I’ll let the more informed posters school me.

I put it on coaching too, they need to worry less about appeasing players, and more about what’s best for the team.

I disagree with your take on Jaylen mate.

Jaylen can improve and go up another level and the roster only needs some minor tweaks around (a legit bruising big man and a playmaker)

You don’t break up Jaylen and Tatum now due to $.

Another off-season with Mazz and now Sam C. and offering Jaylen 5/$240mil will get the job done.

We will be in the Finals next year with just those minor moves.

He has yet to improve in the areas of need for multiple offseasons

Looking back he has been playing for this contract.

Hopefully getting some experience assistants around Mazzulla helps next year.

We've had this **** offense two years in a row though. I remember being even more frustrated last year with our offensive game plan in the Finals (maybe that was a product of the stakes). I don't think getting Mazzula a few assistants is going to magically transform this team mentality.

I don't have a direct solution to the problem but when you look at DEN or GSW or even MIA motion offenses, the amount of movement, screens, cuts and actions they have compared to us is a joke.

And we've seen our two best players revert back to horrible ISO tendencies and be very limited playmaking creators. You can have a more static motion offense when you have a great lead initiator like LBJ or Morant or Doncic but it's not gonna be enough right now with 25 year old Tatum, maybe in 2-3 years.

We either need a proper orchestrator or a coach over-haul

Need less reliance on the analytics and launching 3's, because playmakers like Steph Curry and Jokic aren't available and LeBron's old...

Man, if Gordon can stay healthy....

17/4/5 on 52/38/80 splits. 2.5:1 A:TO in his last 20 games. ;)

Haven't checked but maybe those 20 games are the only ones he played in his time with Charlotte.

Stupid Crowder. He would just be so perfect if he did things like play games.

Meanwhile, back to reality,
there's a possibility Duke's Dariq Whitehead could drop down in
the Draft after two operations. He was High School Player of the Year,
was expected to be a monster talent and Top 10 Lottery Pick,
but right now he's been projected anywhere from Late Lottery to the 30th Pick.
Doubt he makes it to 35, but could be another Brogdon-like Draft situation because of the injuries,
so he could be a good trade up target for the Cs, a homerun shot if it works out.

Chris Haynes was asked if the Celtics would be on Lillard’s list, and Haynes LAUGHED.

“He’s not doing Boston.”

Yikes lol.

I would absolutely not trade Brown for Lillard. He's older and the contract worse, you'd have to add salary to Brown with no way to replace it. I remember watching the Olympics with Lillard dribbling up and firing 3's while Tatum was standing in the corner. It's the Olympics so take it with a grain of salt, but there is zero evidence that Tatum and Lillard would be a good fit together. Anyone saying they would be a good fit is just taking a guess.

JFC we lose the only Jaylen suitor who can make a great offer and Lillard goes to the 8 seed who beat us in the ECF and has jack and **** to give in a trade?

Why definitely?

I strongly feel Boston has easily as good if not superior a chance to land him

Especially if boston offers Brown.

Did u see the interview he laughs at the mention of us lol

Yeah that. Funny thing though is i posted that after i read Jaylens Handles post about it. I just think Miami makes more sense for him.

Other rumor was 3 to LA for Paul George. Not sure they’re ready to tear that mess down but it’s an easier get than Jaylen

It is, what it is,
but the morons in Celtics management should
have foreseen that some Superteam would be formed
one of these years. The NBA does not exist in a vacuum
and they should have been putting the right pieces together,
which was obviously not Kyrie, not Tatum-Brown-Smart...

But wait I’ve done the math, we are in year 2 of the ten year window so if you subtract that leaves us with 8 years.

now take out 3 years for the heats run that leaves us with at least a half a decade

Run it back, and back, and back, and back, and back

Dame/Jimmy/Bam is better on paper.

Lowry, Herro and multiple 1sts is the kind of **** trade for a star we need to be making.

Andrew McCeltic wrote:Really interesting would be a Brogdon trade (3 team?) that sheds some salary and gets us Jarace Walker or Taylor Hendricks. Walker probably goes too high for that, and there’s risk in taking on a rookie.. but Gary Harris and Walker at pick 11 would be a nice nice return.

Dallas is most likely going to trade their #10 pick.
