I mean let's be real. What do you want him to say? If he declines media availability it's probably a fine.

To me these comments are very telling, I read between the lines. Right now their mindset is we just need to play harder, more focused, tighter, and push through it for a full 48 minutes. They believe that's the only way they can win, not because of talent, or schemes. Its because of their mindset to will them through this. That tells me they know they are outmatched and have a an opponent they may not be able to match in scoring. Its going to take the type of perfect game which means they have to somehow make Denver have a less than perfect, because when both teams play evenly were simply outmatched.

The keys to game 2 for a win.
1. One of either Jokic or Murray must have a less than stellar game. If they both have a good game we in trouble.
2. Miami role players must hit their three pointers at a decent clip, above 40%.
3. Jimmy and Bam both need to be efficient, they don't need to score 30+ each, they can both in the low 20's in scoring but its needs to come at a 55%FG rate.
4. Miami needs to be great on Defense to force turn overs, and score off of them.

Do the above and we win or a combination of some of them.

Additionally, Miami's 90+ rating on 4th quarter comebacks is not an advantage in these series like previous ones.
The top three teams in the playoffs were: Miami Heat, then LA Lakers, Then Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets dispatched the Lakers even with this advantage, so Nuggets are not far behind with close to 70+ Rating in the 4th quarter. These means Miami is actually in theory only a +20 Rating over Denver which equates to about 8 points over a 12 minute clock duration. If Miami falls behind for more than 8 points analytics show that Denver will not let them make that up.

That's kinda been the formula for success throughout the playoffs. We've always been the grittier team that hustles the hardest. Ain't nothin' new said by Jimmy here.

We gotta factor in Miami were not home for 8-9 days from the Boston gm7 to first 2 games in Denver. That's a long ass time. First game back home after a long road trip where they find comfort in the familiar. Back in their own homes, own beds, seeing their wives, kids, families, back to their usual routines etc. That's a lot of comfort after being away for extended amount of time that may impact them mentally.

I can see the dogs back at it w/ backs against the wall. Hell if we're going to go down we're going to go down fighting & giving them hell. We're going to throw the kitchen sink & plumbing attached. You think we roll over here after all we've gone through?

Hopefully the extender lends us a helping hand.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

We need to keep the ball moving, and guys have to shoot with confidence and without hesitation when open looks present themselves. Also, Bam needs to go on the warpath. He is quicker and fast and more athletic than Jokic, and he needs to take it to the rack every chance he gets. No more bunnies and layups and fade-aways or any of that crap. He needs to cram it home or die trying every single time. That alone should improve his efficiency and lead to more free throws.

We need dudes on the floor that actually want to shoot the open looks that they've made a career of shooting. F**k the hot potato bullsh*t from game 3. Everyone's gotta be locked in and hungry.

Refs please don't let Jokic play a different brand of physicality than everyone on the opposition. Dude is a walking foul

We're actually 2-2 this postseason with Foster so I'm not terrified. Hopefully he calls fouls on the sloppy fat boy.

Getting all the way to this point and then losing partially because this dude is basically allowed to get away with murder while the weakest ticky tack fouls are called on our guys (see Gabe last game) would be a massive buzzkill.

We’d be 1-3 if the Knicks could make a shot in the 4th if game 6. That ish was blatantly being rigged they just couldn’t capitalize :o

We’ll see tho, hopefully he lives up to his nickname tonight

Bulls fan coming in peace. What's going on with Jimmy? Is he dealing with an ailing injury? In big time games is where he shines the brightest. It's odd to see him play this passively and missing so many shots he usually makes.

He’s hurt from Josh Harts dirty flop still and his head doesn’t seem in it. He’s not engaged at all, showing no emotion and half assing on defense. Hopefully he’s got a spark tonight.

We might be able to get a game or 2 as we’ve already shown but we’re going to need our superstar to step up and lead the charge if we want to win it all. Or at least be locked in defensively with his usual efficient offensive game.

We have to win 3 out of 4 with 2 being in Denver and we haven’t been strong on our homecourt lately either, we have to basically be flawless from here on out.

:dontknow:

Maybe injured. Maybe not. An injury wouldn't explain the lack of fire. He went from this ...

Nah, they're trying to put themselves in a position to acquire some low-priced talent to put around this core that has them in the tax. The FO shouldn't ever stop trying to improve the team or improve the team's future. Obviously, you don't talk about players on the roster during the playoffs.

Return to Miami Heat
