The biggest tell with this team is that we’re now 2-8 in our last 10 games. We ran out of gas weeks ago. The last bit of fight we had we squeezed out to win that Celtics series.

2 and 6. Lost 3 of the last 4 in the ECF, lost 3 of 4 of the finals. It should have been a sweep in the finals.

Almost seems like those of us begging the FO to make a move or 2 because we clearly needed it to put us over the top we’re right all along?!?!

The FO Stans we’re running victory laps early after we made the finals like the goal is to just make it there lmao we need to win it!

they played like crap that's without a doubt but i dont want this same sorry azz team back even though i feel that they overachieved with what they had this year.

in a sane world, changes should be forthcoming because this team isnt going anywhere with a 38 year old lowry next year and an older jimmy. bam is a huge disappointment as a player the rest are just what they are cannon fodder.

i want to say more but this will suffice. we lost to a more talented and better motivated team

Sucks, but honestly, besides the knicks series, we were outmatched talent wise against every tearn.. its a miracle we are even in this position.

This team is capable though of taking game 5. Theyre built to grind out a win against any team.

Point Bam might not be it.

It's one game. His passing has been excellent overall. But what we've seen is he just doesn't have another gear on offense. He's at best a 3rd option, and not someone who can be a primary scorer in any way.

Yeah, but we were just asking him to do too much of that, which IMO takes his attention from what we need him to do. But what are you going to do? Our guards can't do much and Jimmy can't handle the load as it is.

Absolutely, even if he's hurt that's part of the calculation, he can't be relied on as the main scorer and Bam can't be the 2nd option, Miami has to find a vet scorer or just rebuild. Maybe they'll just freeze the summer moves trying to get Dame and then not make a move again.

Dame is right there. I think that's the move. But he's also old. Counting on two 35 year olds as your two best players in the playoffs next season is kinda risky. Father time eventually catches up with everyone.
I think Heat should do it. But its gonna be a max of a 2 year run. I don't see Butler and Dame being super elite at 37.

We did beat bigger teams with our small ball but a lot of it was on sheer willpower, huge 3 point shooting, and Jimmy going off on the Bucks. We didn't lose only because we're small, but this isn't the same team from the Bucks series. They run out of gas because they have to do much to compensate for the lack of size and talent. They just don't have enough in the tank when Bam has to do everything and Jimmy has to be Superman. We need to do the little things better like rebound. We will be a much better team with more size who can rebound.

I don't believe in moral victories. 2 trips to the Finals and get steamrolled against bigger teams (we won 2 games off Jimmy being Superman against LA). The team needs a complete makeover. We refused to get bigger and once again it cost us. These dudes have to put in 100% effort every night because they lack so much talent and size, and they always run out of gas eventually when no matter what they do, the other just does the other things easier. When are we going to learn?

If only we'd played Zeller and Jokic more. If only we were bigger. Like all those teams watching us on TV.

Against Denver, and I say Denver because that IS the bigger team and it’s not even close, it clearly showed time and time again what size does to a basketball team when all there is left are the little things.

I’m proud of the Heat, but let’s be real, unless you have a Superstar scorer that can match shot for shots, being small is not going to get you the trophy.

That goes back to the thing where Bam is not a shooter and can’t play PF in Spo’s system. We need to get a viable backup center and not think that someone like Dwayne Dedmon is an okay option going into the season

Exactly. We made the Finals. That's an accomplishment but if the goal is to win titles, we're not winning one where we gave Dedmon and Zeller minutes behind Bam.

its not the team really, its how great Jokic is playing. he is feeding everyone with incredible passing and answering our runs with big shots. they feed off of him. his passing skills is like, miles ahead of bam
