Again, maybe he can, but it’s not his natural fit so he would be sacrificing as I mentioned above.

Whitmore looks like an awesome physical specimen...but there's no indication he's a shooter, word is he's never considered passing (but maybe that wasn't his job?), and I'm not sure his style of bullying will translate to the NBA. I don't see him as a SG and I sure don't want to bank on telling an 18yo to get smaller...He could be Jimmy Butler, he could be Okoro, but I just don't see the fit and don't want to play someone out of his position if he's drafted that high.

*I have concerns about everyone at 6!!! (but I'm happy to have the pick)

Heard a podcaster joke about Whitmore today that he made 7 passes this season.
Whitmore seems more like a super athletic 4 to me like Miles Bridges

It changes daily but at the moment:

6 - one of Whitmore/Hendricks/Walker at 6 (I do not feel comfortable with our forward options behind our starters, there WILL be minutes there + interesting lineup scenarios)
11 - one of Bufkin/Dick/Hawkins

I think replacing guards that can't shoot with younger guards that can't shoot is bad. Thompson twins I run hot and cold on. I don't hate the concept of having them at their best, I just don't know if we're the best place for them. Black is intriguing from his size/game/free throw rate. Not high on George. Coulibaly is a mystery. Cason is super solid but not confident mocking him on our team without any indication we're moving on from Suggs/Cole/Fultz.

Lively could be interesting at 11 if we went with someone like Dick at 6, although I don't think that draft would please many here.

I have a feeling that Magic will go with Anthony Black and Gradey Dick

If Amen is available at 6:

6 Amen
11 Hawkins

If not:

6 Walker
11 JHS/ Bufkin (haven't decided yet)

Ideally, id trade out of 6 for something tasty, maybe even out of both picks.

I am starting to feel pretty confident it will be:

6: Anthony Black
11: Gradey Dick or Jordan Hawkins

Starting to love a future backcourt of Black and Suggs. Interchangeable at both guard spots. Both excellent defenders and playmakers. Either Dick or Hawkins brings top tier shooting this team needs.

Future Core:

Starting Guards: Anthony Black / Jalen Suggs
Backup Guard: Cole Anthony
Swing-man: Gradey Dick
Starting Forwards: Franz Wagner / Paolo Bancharo
Starting Center: Wendell Carter Jr.

I can see Cam, he's got SG upside. I can't see Walker or Hendricks. They won't be BPA or best fit

Not interested in any of Whitmore, Hendricks, Dick, Lively, L. Miller. Wouldnt love Wallace, worried about George and Ausar.

What I would love to see happen:

6 - magic figure out which of the guards they want (shooters) and reach for them here.

11 - BPA

Before any flames... this will throw the draft off for the next few picks and who knows who will fall to us at 11.

except Suggs hasnt shown to be a playmaker in the NBA yet.

6 - Black
11 - Wallace

I’ll take these guys and be happy with high caliber defense off the bench as the floor for these guys and let them battle it out for who’s the better playmaker and who’s the better scorer.

We could have a defensive death squad of:

WCJ/Goga
Isaac
Black
Suggs
Wallace

#6- Cam or Black

#11 - Bufkin or Wallace

Any combination of those guys I won’t be upset.
