For what it’s worth, I enjoyed Skyrim. That said, Oblivion was/is one of the greatest games of all time. It’s hard to beat the feeling of going into your first gate.

Fallout 3 was pretty great too. 4 was good not great.

But like MiG said, I’m not as big on space as I am high fantasy.

Apparently its locked to 30fps too lol

I'm excited for starfield in like a year though after modders fix bugs, improve on halfassed features, and overhaul bad game systems

Yeah I'm all for some Bethesda slander but I don't think you can go back that far on poor quality games. Even FO4 was decent.

Joined a world event for some boss in D4. About a dozen randos barely got half this boss's life down before the 15 minute clock ran out.

Skyrim is easily the worst mainline ES game. It's a pretty significant drop too. FO3 is fine, but funny enough Obsidian made a far superior game in a less than two year deadline.

Can't comment on that since the only ES game I've played is Skyrim. But it is awesome.

I've played since Morrowind and Skyrim was my favorite. Oblivion was my least favorite TBH, for the Oblivion gates alone. That got old REAL quick, and managing your skill level ups was a chore. Still a great game, mind you. I just loved Skyrim and Morrowind.

I'm excited for the Morrowind on Skyrim engine mod. It looks awesome. Granted I'll probably die of old age before it comes out, but it looks fun.

It remains weird to me that Bethesda's characters are still so wooden and dead-eyed. I saw that there's a new Cyberpunk expansion so I'm dipping my toes into that world again, and it's wild how incredible everything looks compared to just about anything else out there. Characters especially. They look pretty dang natural.

I feel like I'm hitting a good groove with Lily. I went online and have played about 2 hours total now in ranked matches. I've won a handful and feel decent about it. I'm struggling with backward half circles (214) though. Need to practice that, and pulling off my ultimates.

MIG106 if you feel like kicking a newbie's ass.

Oblivion was amazing but this is disrespecting Skyrim. I still log hours going back to that game.

Fallout 4 was a really fun game that just didn't live up to the expectations that Fallout 3 set. Graphically it was an incredible disappointment, but Bethesda pre-2016 still had a pretty incredible track record. I haven't read up enough on Starfield yet, but as long as it's better than Outer Worlds (one of the most overhyped games I've ever played) then I'll probably check it out. I just wouldn't expect it to be a completed game at launch (what is these days?).

Good overview. I'm not really sure what to think, yet. I'm not really jonesing to play a mashup of Fallout 4 and No Man's Sky.

Just watched the whole Starfield gameplay and I’m looking forward to it. Going in with moderate expectations as to not get let down, but seems to check all the boxes for me. They’re getting roasted on social media though

Oh I'm definitely gonna pick it up at some point, just not right away. I actually doubt it's ever gonna reach the level of where No Man's Sky is currently at though. I legit feel bad for people that bought NMS on release, were rightfully disappointed, and then never went back. The care and dedication they've put into transforming that game into what it is now is something we might never see again. It's a near perfect Sci-Fi exploration space sim. Starfield has an almost impossible bar to clear IMO.

That was me. I was so hyped for NMS. Preordered and got it day one. I’ve tried picking it up again but I think the bitter taste launch left me with makes it hard to continue. Similar to how I feel with Cyberpunk. I had insanely high hopes and was crushed.

I feel like an outlier with Cyberpunk. It immediately became a Mount Rushmore open world for me, and I got it at launch. My issue was hard crashes, and they happened frequently. But like I said then, auto-saves were everywhere and I never lost any progress. But I really loved just about everything with that game. The action, the characters, the world, the visuals. For different reasons, only Elden Ring stacks up.

This is the first time I've gone back to the game since I finished it and I'm anxious to see what kind of changes have been made. It looks phenomenal and I haven't seen any glitches or had any hard crashes.
