Interesting that they decided to go with the head that bobbles.

I'm taking a little bit of solace in the Cardinals having the worst record in the NL.

I had a small wager on their game yesterday so tuned in to the final outs of the 9th. There was a fastball on a 1-2 count
with 2 outs that grazed the inside edge of the strike box, the ump seemed to be very close to ringing him up. 2 or 3 pitches later Yaz hit the 2-run tying HR.

If it was basically any other team, I'd have felt bad for them.

I'd like the Cardinals to be bad, but not this bad.

At least it's baseball where having a high draft pick won't guarantee changing their franchise in short order.

But I agree - my dumb brain goes here all the time.

"Ha ha yes. The rival team I hate is terrible. This is great." Literally 5 minutes later: "Damnit, that means they could get a franchise changing talent and be an elite team in 2-3 years." Or if it's college, "Damnit, they may just fire this garbage coach and hire somebody good."

The Vikings are going through a dicey "rebuild on the fly" thing this year with a lame duck Cousins. They'll probably go 10-7 with the crappy NFC/NFC North, but if it starts going south, I will immediately convince myself that they're going to get Caleb Williams or Drake Maye.

Things could be worse with Burnes. Have you guys taken a look at what's happened to Alex Manoah? DAMN.

Wheels completely fell off. When you get hammered in rookie ball its time for a shut down and mental reset.

First one in 11 years. All I caught was the last pitch. So fun to see how happy he was and the teammates after.

Amazing that the game was being called by Braden, dude who threw one in 2010.
