But, you don't have to be so point-counterpoint in all your posts.

I’m sorry; is not not a forum ? Isn’t the point to have back and forths between various posters wherein each states its position and refutes the other (if they disagree). Is this a mod saying not to talk back ?

Stay out of it.
Mods know what they're doing, without your help.

You clearly don’t. And so I’m not allowed to voice my opinion on a mod anymore ? Where is this forbidden ? Are mods a protected class now ? Someone update the TOS. And while you’re at it; could you please answer my original question; is having point-counterpoint convos not the whole idea of a forum ?

Please enlighten me oh powerful mod

Wow. You're really out of line. -- You're clearly angry at something.
Why don't you just Kool it.

Please explain why I am out of line. I merely questioned the purpose of this board if not to have back and forth conversation and got immediately talked down too. Yeah I reacted with sarcasme; not entirely out of line imo considering

I understand what you're saying. -- But, it was never about the "back and forth".
And your "out of line" was just distasteful. -- I'm not sure why you are doing this, at this time.

But your comments, have nothing to do with the Subject of this Thread.
I did PM you. Which is likely a better way of handling this.

Edit:
Perhaps I'm over-modding. I'll ease back on the throttle, so to speak, steefP2.
Thank You, For taking the time to point this out.

Appreciated. For the record; I’m fine running it back with better coaching. The talent is here; excessive tampering with the roster is more risky than wise to me.

Yes. The Coaching hurt us, a bit. 3 Coaches in 3 years. Another New Coach wold only compound it.
This Roster is pretty good. 3rd time's a charm?

But, we do have to factor in his injury history.

He had an injury history when they traded for him, what's changed? Jamal Murry has a huge injury history, should Denver have gotten rid of him?

Time changes all. Injuries pile up. Just something to consider, going forward.
But, you don't have to be so point-counterpoint in all your posts.

What, we're only allowed to post terrible trade ideas on this forum?

You guys are crazy to think that running it back will do us better next season lol.
No way! Don’t tell me you liked watching our guys chucking 3’s all day everyday in the playoffs????
Big guys getting the ball inside ready to kick it out again. The Jays dancing dribbling the ball, and losing them, or taking side step 3’s. Or trying to dribble against two defenders on top and getting stripped. No mid range game, no post up game, no one’s cutting to the basket. Everyone is standing in the corner waiting for a pass to chuck another 3. I’m sick of it actually. With Joe preaching the 3 ball, i doubt anything changes, unless he is forced to change things with different players.

Front court is really bad. Al is best suited for a bench role at his age. You don't have to have a roster of 15 three point shooters.

Well that's what's going to happen. They aren't going to blow up the team like you want.

Bill Simmons says either the Heat or the Celtics would be getting crushed by the Nuggets in the Finals.

He says Nuggets may be the best team in the last 5 years and will be able to contend for the next 5.

Didn't they say that about the Bucks after they won the title a couple of years ago?

Steve Kerr said the key to defending the Nuggets is not to try to stop Jokic but to stop Murray, prevent him from being a big factor.

I think Bucks or Celtics would have done better against the Nuggets than the Heat are doing. They have more size but also peripheral defender to do better vs. Murray on the two-man game with Jokic.

Also better able to attack Jokic on defense, make him defend from the arc all the way into the paint.

Tatum is one of the top players in the league. So it's a question of what supporting cast you want around him. There's speculation about possibly trading for someone like Beal, who's close to Tatum.

But would you trade Brown for Beal? Brown had a rough ECF series but not really. Of course the big contract he's about to get may make people hesitate. Brown is younger and may not be as good offensively but can have more impact on defense.

Otherwise it's not obvious that there are a lot of players who could be #2 to Tatum available for trade.

If not another max player, do you trade Tatum for several good role players who collectively earn what Brown will be earning on his extension? Again that's not obviously better either. After next season, Celtics will have to make decisions about White, Brogdon and Horford, on top of giving Tatum his super max extension, after giving Brown his super max deal.

Do the Celtics instead run it back, hope for more improvement from Brown and Tatum, to take the team to the next level?

BTW the Nuggets had to not panic and blow up the team after disappointing playoffs runs and just run it back with virtually the same roster to get where they are today.

If the Celtics' offense weren't so predictable, they'd be in the Finals right now. Spo game planned to take away the 3 ball and succeeded. Easy to game plan against an opponent that has only one go-to move.

Only team in the playoffs other than Golden State with zero post presence. We're basically cheap Warriors knock-offs minus 2 all time great shooters.

Worked out pretty well. Top 3 ranked offense in the reg season. Top 2 (#1 in the east) ranked offense in the playoffs.

Had more points in the paint than Miami in the ECF.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)
