Actually feel sad for UD. Deserved to go out with a chip.

Thanks for the memories, OG.

Hey, at least they didn't send him out with the ignominy of being on the first team that ever blew a 3-0 lead! All in all, I think they did him proud... scrappy, underdog team personified his career.

This needs to be plan A

Been advocating for this for a bit. The size thing is a concern, and Lopez is an excellent shooter and rim protector. Would allow Bam to play free safety and really cause havoc defensively.

I think Spo might be wedded to small ball though, in which case we need a 4 upgrade and more scoring.

If so then you gotta try and get grant with dame

Or Oladipo to defend Murray.

See i could envision Dallas wanting Herro in a S&T for Kyrie or possibly both Hardaway and Kyrie coming back here with Lowry involved as a big expiring for them.

I’m all for it lol. I’m telling you get this team and elite 3 level scorer of that level who can kill in isolation as well and it’s a wrap. They will THRIVE next to Jimmy and Bam and we’ll be in contention every single year of their contracts together

I don’t think Dame is realistic, but Kyrie is possible. Kyrie, Jimmy, and Bam would fit. Kyrie can go get you a big bucket when you need it. Dallas would get Lowry’s expiring. Works well.

Much respect to the rest of their team though. Gordon especially showed me something. Happy for him and the rest of their guys.

Jokic’s lack of emotion came off kind of snobby & entitled to me idk, maybe I’m tripping

I've watched a lot of players win their very 1st Championship throughout the yrs being a 80s/90s kid & a lot of these players were extremely emotional after truly earning their titles.

Jokic nvr really went through much adversities to win his. It was his 1st dance & went up against a depleted/hobbled squad to win one. Look at the way he responds to winning one. Acting up like he's more concerned w/ going home. So many go through so much to win one.

We've gone through far more adversities w/ all our injuries. We lost a heart breaking finals in the bubble after being depleted and our highest scorer Dragic injured. Guarantee had we won it many of our guys would 've been highly emotional. Hell even Curry was crying after winning his 4th.

Riles, gear up for the offseason. LAnd that f*cking needed scorer and hopefully we meet Denver again and we tear them a new one.

Pat Riley hasn't loved a young player since Magic Johnson, and that includes Dwyane Wade. Pat only love experienced veterans.

If you think Pat loves a kid who is full of himself, worried about his image, and doesn't play defense, have I got a deal for you ...

Pat hand picked Herro himself. Pat chose to extend him. Pat refers to him as Tyler “Smoooooookin” Herro lol

Also, Pat is a Kentucky alum too so there's that. Aside from the defensive issues (which I think can/will be improved) and questionable outfits/hats (prob will not improve) everything I've heard is that Herro busts his ass in the off-season and is well-liked by his teammates. I wouldn't have minded trading him last summer if that's what it took to get KD, or someone of that stature, but I'm pretty meh on Dame. I'd rather see how Tyler continues to improve in our system.

Again, he's TWENTY THREE.

To put things into perspective, do ya'll remember how gassed Butler was in the finals during the bubble? He could barely walk after games, and this was after a 3-month COVID lockdown. He averaged 22ppg in the playoffs that year and played 38 mins / game (21 games in total). This season there was no 3-month break before the playoffs, and it was basically go-go-go since the start of April. Butler averaged over 27ppg in the playoffs this season, played 40 mins / game, all despite being 3 years older and having to carry much more of the offensive load. Dude tried and left it all on the line. Hespect'

Then they need to get him more help, if not we will be a middle of the pack team for the foreseeable future

While I agree that we need some more help, we might have had enough if healthy. More Dipo and Herro could've meant less Strus and Gabe when they struggled. Also, if Strus and Gabe had a lesser workload, they may have performed much better in the Finals.

I'm not sold on gutting the roster for Dame, but would rather add a few solid players like the Lakers did.

Quoted from a highly respected capper who tells it the way he sees it.

Jimmy Butler cannot be criticized enough for coming up so small in the final minute. You can’t gag any harder than he did when he PASSED THE BALL to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope with 27 seconds left. Then on the Heat’s next possession, he attempted that hugely idiotic turnaround 3-pointer that had virtually no chance of going in. The shot bricked hard off the backboard and rim.

This game was there for the taking but Jimmy Butler was not the man to complete the job. The more I think about this game the more I realize how lucky the Nuggets are to be celebrating tonight.

He had Miami winning the series. changed his mind and put all his money on nuggets after watching Butler play in game 1 & 2.

He's got it right in the last sentence. It took for us to really suck for them to win. How badly did we shoot in this game? Well, the Nuggets missed 23 out of 28 three-point shots, they committed 15 turnovers to only 8 by the Heat, and they missed 10 of 23 free throws .... while the Heat missed only 2 of 16.

The Nuggets made ALL those mistakes and still won the game. THAT’s how badly the Heat shot the basketball tonight, a completely pitiful 34.4%.

The game was ours to take. Refs were allowing it to be extremely physical which is to our advantage & even gifted us 3FT's on Butlers 3 attempt.....but we sh*t the bed, especially in the 2H. Jimmy tried in the end w/ some timely 3s & FT's but it was just way too late after seeing him again miss 2 early FT's and just spiritless & running on empty to start the game. He was stuck on 8pts for 3Q's. Brutal way to go out after a stellar performance earlier in the PO's.

Yea it is what it is, we would've AT LEAST extended this to 7 if Butler is even regular season Butler (who was absurdly efficient). Unfortunately his ankle was clearly bothering him since that fool Hart clipped him. Whether he wants to admit it or not, I've seen several IG stories snapshots of his ankle and it looks swole.

Anyways I ain't too bummed, we severely overachieved and it was a fun ride. If by some miracle we can nab both Dame AND Brook, I mean I'd say we're back in the finals to say the least. Dame seems feasible but not sure how Andy could also acquire Lopez because boy do we need size and Lopez is PERFECT for this team next to Bam.

Side note: Crazy how we've been bullied inside for Heat Riles run team. Outside the Whiteside era, this team has continously gotten pummeled for their lack of size, would be nice to finally address a glaring issue.

We'd still be playing if our shooters hadn't all gone on vacation at the same time.

2 and 7 in the final 9 playoff games? 89 points tonight? I'm sorry but this team was not good and did not deserve to play in the finals

Heat 100% deserved to be in the finals but not as a champion. That's the difference.

Props to Bam while he has some flaws on offense the guys effort/heart when it comes to competing is insane. I hope the Heat can add a 3 star and play Jovic at the 3/4 next year and you guys win it.

The reason why we made the finals isn’t the ability of our team, it’s our ability to close out games, which made us battle tested veterans from the regular season by going 17-9 in one possession games or overtime games. Also being a top 4 team in the 4th quarter in the regular season & top 3 overall with regular season and postseason combined.

They should've swept them and had 1 week's rest but they forgot to play in Game 4.

The point still stands, Heat deserved to be the ECF champs and play in the finals.

They missed, but you need to know your personnel. Asking Strus or Gabe to be shot makers instead of shooters is a recipe for disaster. Jimmy in particular put them in spots he had no business putting them in offensively.

Those are dudes that need everything to go right to put up numbers.
