Our best offers for Lillard in a trade would be something like this.
Herro, Martin, Oladipo, Jovic and our 2023/2028/2030 picks for Lillard. Salaries match identically (45.6mil)
Lowry, Oladipo, Martin and our 2023/2028/2030 picks and 2027/2024 FRP swaps for Lillard. (This is if POR would prefer all expiring money except Martin and additional pick swaps)
Herro, Robinson, 2023/2028/2030FRPs and 2027/2024 FRP swaps for Lillard.
Miami would likely prefer the last option.

Dame isn’t happening people, you can put that to rest now.
The Heat could maybe get Beal or LaVine tho.

Heres the situation we in right now.
With Gabe, Max, Yurt as FA's that we hold Bird rights for this offseason.
FAs we don't have Bird rights for - Love and Zeller.
Miami is currently owing 183mil in contracts if we retain our FAs bird rights. If we let those 3 walk then we owe 177.5mil to 9 players,
Jimmy 45mil
Bam 32mil
Lowry 29.6mil
Herro 27mil
Robinson 18.1mil
Oladipo 9.8mil (Player Option)
Martin 6.3mil
Jovic 2.3mil
Highsmith 1.9mil
The Salary Cap expected to be 134mil and Tax line 162mil. The league has introduced the second tax apron which is roughly 179.5mil (17.5mil above tax line) If we go over that line we will lose the ability to trade our FRP 7yrs out and will only have access to trade picks within the next 6yrs.
So basically that means if we want to trade our 2030 FRP then we will need to either let;
Gabe/Yurt walk and keep Max/Highsmith
Max/Yurt/Highsmith walk and keep Gabe.
There might be some way we are able to manipulate the cap to be able to waive Yurt and Highsmith and possibly keep Strus and Gabe while being able to still trade our 2030 pick but ultimately depends on the numbers the league settle on.
Best case scenario Oladipo doesn't take his PO which would allow us to retain all 3 of Gabe/Strus/Yurt cap holds and keep Highsmith while being able to trade our 2030 pick.
After that we can make whatever trades we want with Herro, Lowry, Robinson, Martin, Jovic and our 2023 pick, 2028 pick and 2030 pick and then be able to go over that number to retain our players with Bird rights, sign Vet min players and use our mini MLE as long as we don't take back more salary

This might be our last chance to trade Butler before that massive extension kicks in.
Does anyone really want to see another season of jimmy coasting and running his mouth?

I still believe that we got his agent to miss the deadline and then paid the guy to pay him.

Gotta tell Dipo if he doesn’t opt in he can expect a sweet coaching gig like Carter got.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Re: Miami Heat 2023 Off-Season Thread 1.0 - Give them Cancun!!!
I wouldn't be so hasty to gut the entire roster.
It's frustrating that guys like Strus and Gabe struggled in the finals I know.
But I think we need to put it into perspective.
Gabe Vincent averaged - 12.7ppg, 3.5apg, 1.4rpg shot 40FG% and 38% from 3 throughout the entire playoffs
Max Strus averaged - 9.3ppg, 3.6rpg, 1.4apg shot 40FG% and 31% from 3 throughout the entire playoffs
In the 7 games before Jimmy got hurt;
Gabe averaged - 15.1ppg, 5apg, 1rpg, 41FG% and 40% from 3
Strus averaged - 8.1ppg, 3rpg, 1apg, 50FG% and 41% from 3 (Before the Finals Strus was shooting 37% from 3 throughout the playoffs)
These aren't crazy numbers but they were more efficient when Jimmy was able to generate good looks for them.
If the team can get someone like Lillard which would move Gabe to the backup PG and Strus would have another player that can penetrate the paint and generate good looks for him. I think that wouldn't be that bad.
If we can, I would retain both Gabe and Strus, especially if we are able to make a significant upgrade with Lillard.

Nah, what you do is evaluate the Bam/Jimmy/Herro core and see if you can trade out a guy to upgrade the core, you sign your bird guys and then cut weight and improve it.
Jovic is a nice prospect in this current nba skillset ecosystem.

What you do is move Jimmy to Philly and start anew.
The decline for Butler will not be pretty.

I wonder if there is godfather offer the heat could make for Lauri or a good offer for Zinger and maybe add Brooks on a cheap deal with what's leftover.

This is such a crazy take.
Jimmy was looking the best player in the playoffs before Josh Hart slide tackled him.
Even after that he finished the playoffs averaging 26.9ppg 6.5rpg 5.9apg, 1.8spg shooting 47FG% and 36% from 3. In 16/22 games he played injured...
I get being emotional after a tough NBA finals loss. But we not here if it weren't for Jimmy. That man can stay on this roster till he retires idgaf.

Ah yes, I remember the regular season as well though. That awful “don’t give a ****” attitude he had all year reared it’s ugly head again in the Finals.
