Of course I read. I just ignored Nurkic. He is good but always be injured, right? I don’t care whether he is a good rebounder. Even a superstar, a player that can’t play consistently is useless to the team.

By the way, WCJ is a much better defender than Nurkic! And if we want to trade with Blazers, I think WCJ, #6, 24 FRP and 25 DN’s FRP for Simons and #3 will make sense. Then we can sign Poeltl in FA.

That’s a non starter for POR.

I’m not crazy about the deal at all but it starts at Nurk/3 for WCJ/6/11.

Yeah i agree that would probably be the deal (only if Scoot is there), and i feel the same way, I dont love it for the Magic either.

Understood.

Who do you like at 6 and 11?

Thompson twin and Gradey Dick?

I think this whole draft is overrated TBH, but.. Whitmore (mostly due to age/potential), Hendricks, Walker all interest me. Probably in that order at 6. I dont want to draft either Thompson twin at 6, at 11 if theyre available, fine.. Otherwise I like Hawkins, Coulibaly is very interesting, Wallace is nice and could allow us to move on from Markelle who needs to be resigned next season, Dick is solid too. 11 in that order for me.

Seems reasonable and pretty close to consensus.

I wonder if there is a world where we are somehow targeting the twins....yes both.

Sign FVV

Get rid of Fultz / Cole to try and get Ausar on top of Amen
Get rid of Denver pick
Possibly trade next years pick
Dangle Bol Bol

PG FVV, Amen
SG Suggs Ausar
C WCJ, Mo
SF Franz, ausar
PF Paolo, Ausar, Mo

Mostly doing this to see how many feathers I can ruffle. Don't really want this.

Ok so our biggest problem is shooting and you want to solve that by trading future assets to get two 20 year old prospects who have basically been professionals for two years and still are shooting terribly?
Counterpoint is that our biggest problem is getting more points than our opponents. These twins are stat stuffers!

it would solve both Magic PG and SG position, and we could dump Fultz for C or sign C in free agency.

You mean for the number 2 pick?

Yea.

We could draft Henderson and sign Poeltl or Naz Reid at C.

It's just trade idea, i'm not too thrilled by it either

Maybe if Henderson is more of Garland instad of Westbrook i would be all over it

I think Williams is going to be really good and he's much bigger than WCJ. More of a traditional rim-protector, lob finisher...I'd like him next to Paolo...Don't know that we'd need to pay for Poeltl in your scenario. I wonder if MIN would take Fultz for Kyle Anderson, following your deal?

Williams/Goga
Paolo/M. Wagner
Franz/Kyle Anderson (backs up 3/4),Houstan
Suggs/Rozier
Scoot/Cole/2rp

Still sitting on a pile of cash to reel in one more significant rotation player...could also trade a future pick or DEN 25 frp to get back in for one of the interesting shooters in this draft.

Ah yes, put the ball in the hole more then the other team. That is the plan. Now why didn't I think of that witty response.

We can send a 2024 first pick unless the groundhog sees his shadow, then it turns into two seconds round picks after we settle our pick obligations to all other teams.

Walker? combo forward that does a little of everything, but not really good at anything?

He has a great feel for the game and can guard 3-5 at a high level.

i would like Simons for this Magic team. i think he gets a bad rap. but not too many Magic fans seem to be on board with it

He’d be our best frontcourt defender -assuming Isaac hasn’t been healed miraculously. He’s athletic and smart…just as much upside as anyone around 6. I’d rather have a star guard who can shoot…but there isn’t one

You really see Westbrook? I don’t see it other than his explosiveness. He looks like a better floor general and his shot looks manageable to where I think he become good enough to keep the defense honest.

Any trade that gets us Scoot without giving up Paolo and Franz is pretty much a yes for me.

Return to Orlando Magic
