I mean it makes sense that your top prospects on your board are also the guys you think have the best chance at being All-Stars.
How is that controversial? I'm not saying it has to be that way, but it's not like it doesn't make sense.

it's not controversial, it's just not what the topic is about. if he wanted your top 6 prospects he would've asked for it.

LMAO...I'm giving you my top 6 prospects who are also the 6 guys I think have the best chance at being All-Stars. Not my problem if people can't handle that logic.

it is not really logical though, putting someone as the 35th selection in your mock draft and then thinking he is going to be one of the 6 all stars from that draft class.

I wonder if Nadir Hifi might have decent odds.
I don't think it happens all too often that a teenager averages 16.5 ppg in Betclic, even if Wemby also did this year of course.
I know he was a bit rough around the edges as a prospect coming into this year and also had a slow start (on a bad team no less), but his efficiency absolutely did catch up.
Definitely still a lot to learn as a playmaker and probably has a few concerns as a defender (though he did hold his own last year), but I have to think his potential as a scorer is absolutely All-Star tier, even if it perhaps isn't particularly likely that ever comes into fruition.
I think he did just sign on a 3 year deal with a better French team (Paris Basket), so I think he'd be almost a certainty to just be a draft-and-stash pick for a while, idk what that buyout would even look like...
But I think for a guy without a ton of buzz who seems ever likelier to be drafted but still absolutely not guaranteed to be-
His chances might be (contextually) pretty darn high

Well, the exercise isn't asking if you think that someone from the second WILL be an all star, it is if someone were, who do you think it will be? Most drafts don't have all the all stars they produce drafted in the lottery.

Victor, Scoot, Jarace, Keyonte
I don't really see six in this class and I'm only really confident with the first two. A lot of good players, but not all-stars or all-NBA caliber.

So I went through all of the NBA drafts from 2007 to 2019 and I noted where each all star was selected.
2019 Draft Allstars Selection Number:
1, 2, 5
2018 Draft Allstars Selection Number:
3, 4, 5, 11
2017 Draft Allstars Selection Number:
3, 5, 7, 13, 14, 22
2016 Draft Allstars Selection Number:
1, 2, 3, 11, 27, 29
2015 Draft Allstars Selection Number:
1, 2, 4, 13
2014 Draft Allstars Selection Number:
1, 3, 7, 13, 41
2013 Draft Allstars Selection Number:
2, 15, 27
2012 Draft Allstars Selection Number:
1, 3, 6, 9, 35, 39
2011 Draft Allstars Selection Number:
1, 9, 11, 15, 16, 30, 60
2010 Draft Allstars Selection Number:
1, 5, 9, 10
2009 Draft Allstars Selection Number:
1, 3, 7, 9, 17, 19
2008 Draft Allstars Selection Number:
1, 4, 5, 10, 17, 35, 45
2007 Draft Allstars Selection Number:

2016 is missing Fred Van Vleet who went undrafted and has 1 all-star appearance.

i don't see 6 future all-stars in this draft honestly, probably closer to three or four. tons of solid rotation guys though.

Re: Place your bets, who are the 6 all-stars in the 2023 draft?
I think there will be more than 6 All-Stars. This year and last year's drafts are that deep (probably offsetting the next two drafts).
1. Wemby
2. Scoot. The top PG prospect (so, non-combo guard) found in the Top 6 has done exceptionally well ever since the Chris Paul draft. I think like 12/17 have become All-Stars with Ivey and Cade looking like they'll make it 14/17. Even Fultz might be able to secure one, someday.
3. Brandon Miller. In the future, I think Miller will probably fall to #5 or #6 of this list due to his sluggish performances against ranked teams but he'll still be an All-Star on pure talent, alone and I'll leave him at #3 due to that being likely where he gets taken and not because I see him at #3.
4. Amen. I think he'll end up the 2nd best player in this draft, kind of like Wade was to Lebron. When you can move with straight line speed only the likes of Morant, Iverson, Wall can while having passing vision and IQ that CP3, Lebron, Luka, Simmons possess...and you can jump 40" while having a 7' wingspan? Seeing as how he possesses the same genetic capabilities as Ausar, it's not a stretch to say that he can add a 30% three point shot. I feel that's just a recipe for a more dangerous Ben Simmons.
5. Ausar. Same as his brother, he has all the tools. The thing is that, for much of his career, he was seen as the superior player. It's only now that Amen has taken the lead. Nonetheless, he has the same tools and has achieved similar enough numbers. He has proven himself to be a solid shooter and possibly even clutch. I think where he gets taken may impact his growth as a star but his talent is rare enough that he'll make an All-Star game.
6. Walker. Future DPOY? I think he has the potential. If he can hit 20 points while being DPOY, I can see him making it. He can handle the ball and pass, too. I think he'll need to decide what he wants to be in the NBA, though. Power forward like Julius Randle? Or a wing like Lebron and Tatum, who he cites as main influences to his game? For the latter, he may have to lose 15-20 lbs.
He'll have to develop his game beyond floaters and jumpers, though. Again, due to possible ball handling skills and a 7'2" wingspan, I think he can do it.
There will probably be another All-Star in the later lotto(unless that's Walker) and one in the late teens/20s. Possibly one in the 2nd round?
