Bish dream scenarios 2023:

Since there hasn't been a team that has won a ring without a top 5 player since 04 (it's not impossible, just very hard)

Highly improbable, but player-generated trades for KD or Kawhi that will ultimately cost us Bam and Herro. Hail Mary for the ages that likely won't enter the ideation-phase for the FO

More likely, but highly improbable trades (Fill spaces at the 1 and 4 spot)

Lillard for Lowry/Herro, and every other asset in the Cupboard

S&T for Harden (Lowry/Herro), Robinson/draft pick for OG Anunoby

S&T for Kyrie (Lowry/Herro), MLE for player like Thaddeus Young

Possible but not probable (Fill spaces at the 1 and 4 spot)

S&T for CP(Lowry), Herro for Julius Randle

Herro for Anfernee Simons, Robinson/Draft pick for John Collins or Myles Turner

Keep the kids scenarios! (Sell lowry, the farms oldest pig)

Lowry for Thaddeus Young and Otto Porter Jr.

S&T Lowry for Grant Williams, Robinson for Shake Milton, Deanthony Melton

Otherwise pray for internal growth from Bam and Herro and all other draft picks!

A player like Lillard is the final piece we need. A hungry, ringless, seasoned, scoring vet but I don't wanna play this game again after having our hearts broken w/ Giannis & KD to end up w/ nothing. I'll wait to be excited after any Woj announcements & dependable confirmations.

I think any S&T would be a non starter. We have too much money committed our current players and can't afford to be hard capped.

Wouldn't mind CP3 as a backup plan but we can't trade for him he was waived by PHX and is a FA.

I'm playin' lol we definitely need stark reality in this thread. There's no telling what the playing field will look like in FA, but it's likely to be relatively tame regardless of how we feel. Let's hope our 3% luck hasn't run out yet tho!

Quite frankly, Dame and Beal are gonna cost too much. Wasn’t Rozier the more realistic option?
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Blazers are going to cave to whatever demands he has, I don't expect the Lillard chatter to last long

I keep hearing this but I don't understand why they would. People seem to have succumbed to his PR teams narrative that the Blazers owe Lillard for his "loyalty" to the franchise. Zero loyalty has been displayed by Lillard. He's taken every nickle. He's hogged every ball. It appears that he's run off every other half decent player he's ever played with. In 11 seasons he's led the Blazers to ...

0 championships
0 NBA Finals
1 WCF loss (sweep)
2 WC semis losses (both 1-4 gentleman sweeps)
5 first round eliminations
2 division championships

And they've paid him $235 million for the honor, with another $216 million guaranteed coming his way. They even gave Lillard the Kobe deal.

What exactly do they owe this guy for?

Kyrie vs Dame. Whats the comparative cost? Theyre equal in my eyes from a bball standpoint. I might even tend towards Kyrie strictly from a bball standpoint. The "other stuff" they bring would mean a lot. Dame is an easy fit. Super easy.

Hes also going to be expensive. Miami really never gets off easy in trades and its not like our "assets" really look that great.

We will probably just end up drafting Terquovatious at pick 18....

They don't owe him, they owe their fans after building this fake loyalty persona all these years. I doubt they have the courage to turnheel

Kyrie would've been the perfect bet at a safe price during the season, but not sure he's going to be as easy to come by this time around

I'm sorry but after putting $450 million in his pocket, I'll trade him to Tel Aviv if they offer the best package. I don't see why their fans would be happier with ownership sending Lillard where he wants to go rather that accepting whatever deal makes the team they root for better going forward.

Wouldve been chip worthy to have him for this title run. Interesting to read that we tried to get him. Dallas wont want to play fair to help us. I can just hear Cuban saying "**** Miami!"

Portland would be pretty interesting if they could make a Heat trade and came out of draft night with Scoot, Herro, Whitehead and Lively. Thats how you kickstart a rebuild.

Not True, I was there for most of my life "Ok you got me there", but now I'm a St. Petersburg FL resident bud.....but yes 70% of the Cuban population outside of Cuba live in Miami if given a choice, and 50% of them probably live in the Hialeah area, lol.
