Pretty sure Murphy is untouchable. I think the idea is to rid themselves of Zion and build around Trey. I am sure they would move CJ if there are any takers, which is doubtful.

If he were available, I would give up a lot. He's going to be a good one.

I think Murphy is an awesome fit with Scottie, but I have a serious question; why do many on this board and the general board (and other websites) hold Murphy in such high esteem? Serious question - not trying to be pedantic re you calling him untouchable as I do not watch a ton of Pelican's games and maybe I am missing something. Doesn't he project as a very high end role player rather than even a fringe all-star? He seems like an awesome shooter with average defense and sub-par playmaking and subpar rebounding for his position.

You’re probably right but I was thinking they’d have a core of Scoot, CJ (barf), Ingram, Jones, GTA, plus whatever they get out of NY for Zion.

How much do they like Scoot over Trey…that’s the question. Because if Ingram off the table and Zion isn’t Portland’s cup of tea, then what are they trading for #3?

He’s long, bouncy, and can shoot.

The shooting is the biggest thing for me personally. The team needs it so bad. Probably why I like Miller more than Scoot with Scottie.

I do watch a lot of Pelicans games (big Herb Jones fan too, but I may be alone there) and just going by their broadcast crew and other little tidbits, they absolutely love him there. HIs family is often at the games, he seems to be the player that is featured most prominently in the stupid in-arena entertainment games/skits, They have talked about how ingrained he is in the community so far, etc..etc..

On the court, he just slashed 48/41/91 and has close to what I personally think is the ideal basketball frame (6'8 210lbs....hopefully adds another 5-10 lbs). I think his ascension is going to make a few guys there expendable. I certainly didn't mean build around him as "we have our surefire #1 guy" but just in the sense that he is their best youngster and is likely going to get better.

Exactly this. Those shooting numbers for a 22-year old at his size. We'd be frothing at the mouth with excitement if Scottie shot that well last season....or ever shoots that well.

Who?

Just google Zion Williamson. Don't google that other name.

I’ll just google corn dog eating contests. He should be in there somewhere.

Really happy to hear that Portland and Dame aren't ready to move on from with each other. Great news

I can’t **** ING WAIT for Draft night. If the trade happens good, if it doesn’t then we can finally move one and be happy with whomever we pick at 13.

We will have to find something new to fight about.

Convenient that this comes out the same day we hear Beal is available. I don't buy it at all, they just want better offers for Dame.

Raptors still in a good spot to trade for 3.

Other players being made available to be honest don’t fit Portland the same way. However, I wouldn’t eliminate the possibility that instead of the 3rd pick that Portland moves Sharpe and Simons instead. To me the 3rd pick still worth more than Sharpe. Also if 3rd pick is in play can see them ask back for 13th
