How does this sound?

Like hope traffic

Celtics could offer a better package with the role players they have and you know JT and Beal are good friends. Heero might be a Wizard this off-season

This is why it’s absurd to think that Wiz Mod approved poo poo platter has any traction.

It really depending how Beal feels about each trade and the teams, he has absolute 100% leverage.

Washington doesn’t have much leverage herro is probably the best they are gonna get from anybody

Herro by far is going to be the best talent incoming from and of Beal’s approved teams. Take Herro out of this deal and you leave the door open to getting beat by another team rather easily. Robinson, Lowry, Jovic and pick seems like an absolute joke. Other teams will be banging down the Wiz door.

The Wizards are about to start a complete rebuild. They do not want a 40-5mil per year 30 year old occupying their roster. Miami offers expiring contracts that can match Beal's number and a 1st for their troubles. Beal also holds all the leverage because he can say yes or no to destinations so it's not really about getting outbid. The HEAT can absolutely get outbid in an offer but the point is moot if Beal says he will only want to go to Miami.

If Beal gives out a list of destinations then it becomes more of a bidding process but right now Washington has little to no control over this situation.

Reports today are saying the Celtics don’t want Beal, they’re focused on extending brown. Reports say the Sixers aren’t interested as well.

It literally may just be us in the mix; no need to outbid ourselves. Feel it out and see what we can get done

They do have control. They don’t have to trade him at all. The trade has to be somewhat reasonable. The report says they are working together to find an amendable deal

I doubt there are many suitors especially with that contract

Then they don't trade him. If Beal says Miami and only Miami, WAS still won't be able to dictate the teams of what they get. Teams will eventually cave in those scenarios. No trade clauses in salary capped sports are extremely rare. I think it's going to stun people when they see how little Beal gets moved for but it's not surprising when you consider all the factors working against WAS.

There won’t be many suitors but lowballing does not seem realistic either. The Duncan contract alone kinda negates Wiz looking to shed salary. If they want full salary shed then Tobias Harris or Khris Middleton contract alone with pick or picks sounds a lot more enticing.

Miami and Boston both make cents.

I think we're number one on Beal's list if he has one simply due to the Florida tax. He would maximize on his contract earnings here vs other places unless a Texas team enters the ring? I could be wrong though but I think he'll see most of his earnings playing in Miami vs playing for Boston, NY, LA, Philly, or Milwaukee.

The 76ers and the Celtics are busy trying to resign their star players, that doesnt mean they won't go after Beal. The Wiz can wait this out a little bit, they are not on the clock. Also the assumption that Beal will only choose Miami sounds like a crack addict getting his hit with hope peddling. Beal will have his list of teams, not just one.

Middleton would have to opt into his player option which reports were that he was not going to.

If it's a full salary shed we could also do Lowry, Oladipo, and Jovic with a pick. That's still more appealing than a shed from Middleton or Harris.

I could see him putting the Knicks, Nets and Portland on his list of preferred destinations.

I personally don’t think it’s going to be a full salary shed either way. To me taking on the 23 year old Herro who’s locked into his deal long term making a lot less then Beal would be the way for them to go and what makes the most sense.

Return to Miami Heat
