We cant really strike out on Dame if he never asks out

Has Beal missed any playoff games his team has been in? He’s played and started in 45 of them

Semantics. He’s missed more games than Herro over the last 4 years and his teams haven't been good enough to qualify for the playoffs lately to even make it a decent comp. Beal can be better than Herro and you can personally like Beal more than Herro, and still question the availability for both. That's my last reply, Alonzo brought up a fair point I was just adding to it.

Beal had season ending wrist surgery in 2021-2022. The team was 23-26 and Beal was about to be a FA and earn the biggest contract of his career. It was in Beal's and the teams best interest for him to sit as they weren't going to compete and their pick would be better if he sat.

In 2020-2021 he missed 12 games as that was the shortened 72 game season and he played 60 games.

Last season he was banged up but I wouldn't over scrutinize the previous 2 seasons.

Thanks for the context. It’s obviously better if someone is always available. But idk that Beal is exactly injury prone. Would you all take Jamal Murray? I see them as very similar players. He misses a lot of reg season games, too

And I vehemently disagree. If one group of fans should understand the difference in posture and importance between regular season and playoffs, it should be Miami fans.

It’s a concern but not nearly as concerning as a player with a track record of being unable to hang in the increased physicality of a playoff setting

I agree we'd have enough in the regular season to get us in the mix and we can stagnate the rest of Jimmy and Beal throughout the season so that one of them is out there at all times. Jimmy has done this every season he's been here. I'd say our regular season position in the standings last year was more of an anomaly due to our shooters being off most of the regular season.

If that is behind us then we should have more than enough rotating when Jimmy and Beal play/rest to get a top 4 spot.

If the player does the right things to make sure he's ready come playoff time then that matters way more to me than someone missing regular season games.

Dont want Beal.. injury prone, averages 51 games played per season in the last 4 seasons. And that contract.. hes still owed 207 million.. pass

i dont think he puts us over the top. His defense is as bad as Herro’s.

Don't see Struss Love and Yurt getting resigned. Maybe Vincent but that's questionable in my eyes. Micky has never been a fan of the Tax so not gonna entertain any scenario involving that.

Am intrigued with the talk surrounding Porzingas. Makes me wonder how difficult would it be to land him here as a 1 year rental.

Duncan improved his stock, that’s not necessarily valuable to a team like Washington who are rebuilding but a shooter is always coveted, naturally they will see value in acquiring him to trade again later on to a contender who needs a shooter and attain another pick

Lmao. Beal averaged 23.2 pts, 3.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists last year in 2022-2023 season... Beal has never in his career posted a stat line of 30-7-6... he's a career 22-4-4 guy. His best year was probably 2019-2020 when he avg 30.1 4.2 boards 6.2 assists... some random Twitter dudes talking Beal up and yall drinking the kool-aid. Yikes.

Dude has a 15% trade kicker... "yea Beal will TOTALLY waive it!" Yea ok... Things Beal has done consistently in his career. Miss more and more games, chase the money, and watch his .40% avg from 3 first five years drop to 35% last four years. Everyone whines nonstop about Jimmy and his knees and missing games and now yall wanna risk it all on Beal and KP. Can't make this stuff up.

This is silly. For one Jimmy will be 40yo once Herro is 29 and potentially improved to Beal's level.

Also their playoff numbers tell a completely different story.

Beal aged 20-21 and 23-24 (4 playoff runs - 40gms) - 22.6ppg, 4.3rpg, 3.6apg, 1.5spg, 43FG%, 38%3PT
Herro aged 20-22 (3 playoff runs - 39gms) - 12.6ppg, 4rpg, 2.7apg, 0.4spg, 38FG%, 30%3PT

Didn't include this year for Tyler as it was 1 game he didn't finish

Barry needs to shut it.
Is there more than one basketball? How would beal and Dame ever coexist? Did he not see Luka and Kyrie lose 12 straight games or some **** and Dallas not make playoffs? There's this thing called defense. Worst idea ever. Terrible team building with fit and cap. The day Micky pays 265M is the day Bam doesn't have a ball bounce off his foot or hands for a turnover in a game.
