It was a salary dump, saved them some lux tax after taking on more salary in the KD trade. I don't think they viewed Dario as playable in the playoffs because he would get targeted off the floor.

I would like to keep Baz if it’s financially reasonable. I actually think he’s got some nice upside still and fills a positional and athleticism need. I always thought he could be a Jerami Grant lite, and maybe that ship has sailed, but we could do worse for a deep bench guy.
