It isn't required. Fultz is eligible for an extension and can be traded in a SnT at any time (except during the league’s annual moratorium: July 1-5.

There are limits to the contract length in a SnT deal. But as Fultz has been with the Magic more than thre years, there is a lot of flexibility here for a trading partner.

Sign and trade Fultz?

I thought those who has been signed and trade have to be Free Agent or restricted FA. He has one year non guaranteed left but we have the team option.

So do we have to waive him first? Or he can do a sign and trade extension promised by the other team and trade for another player

Herro will probably be in a package to get a player like Lillard.

A player like Herro would really help though. Devin Booker would be my ideal SG for this team but Phoenix won't move him.

I think Herro is about perfect for this Magic squad. Gives us shooting we need plus scoring 2 guard we need. Still young but been in plenty of huge games already. But I feel like he won't just come in and demand the ball either he will let Paolo and Franz handle it.

I doubt this happends but I think if Lillard gets moved it's to Miami. Miami was close this year and it feels like a Miami move to try for Lillard and feels like Lillard would be cool going there. They would have to move Herro I think to have any chance at matching salaries with Portland in a Lillard trade. Or they can use a third team to help...enter us.

Miami gets Dame
Orlando gets Herro
Portland gets some combination of Suggs/Isaac/Bol/Chuma/Cole and 6 or 11 and Denver's future first (they going be really good in 2025 so it will be the back end of the 1st.)

Miami gets Dame to go for it immediately. I am not too concerned. They will be old with Dame and Lillard entering their mid 30s with massive contracts. They will be really good for like 2 years then start the downfall when we are in accession.

We got the off guard shooting/scoring we need. We are top 6 easy next year with Herro

Portland gets a boatload of draft picks and young players to jump start their rebuild.
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

they could trade Lowry and Oladipo + picks and salary would work. Not saying Portland has to make that trade, but they do not need to trade Herro to make money work. They could also trade Lowry + Martin + Jovic. but in any trade, i see Lowry going with his $26.9 mil salary next year.

and i wouldnt give more than #11 for Herro. he is a bit overpaid right now. the combination you brought up, way to much of an overpay. any of those picks, players needs to be coming from Miami. Herro alone doesnt get you Dame

True. I just don't see why the hell Portland would want Lowry and Oladipo for a team rebuilding. They won't just trade Lillard for those two just to match salary. Herro would be the only thing that would intrigue them for a rebuild. A young scoring off guard who can shoot...but even that is meh for Dame. That's why I think we could help facilitate it. But it's all fantasy lol

I would not give up all of that to get Herro and help Miami get Lillard.

If Miami wants Lillard, they will have to give up later year firsts and either Herro or Bam.

Other things will bid for Lillard though.

If they don't get Lillard, I think Riley will mortgage their future for someone. We shall see.

No to giving up that package for Herro though.

Miami and Orlando are not natural trading partners. I cannot ever see a substantial deal between these two teams, ever.

yes, but Portland has Sharpe, who will be playing SG. yes, they could then move Herro for someone else. will be interesting to watch
