I like Miller over Scoot, so I'd be excited if we were able to get Miller at 3 and get some assets to go with it (was a big fan of Dyson Daniels in the last draft), but I dont think that trade is out there. I also, don't really like an Ingram or Zion deal due to their injury history and Zion's lack of weight loss.

All the talk is about Ingram/Zion in a deal, I dont think NO is even offering either of them.
-Griffin has been in win now mode, why would he do a tank move? He traded for McCulum. Even if Scoot is the real deal, it would take at at least some time to get to a Zion/Ingram level. Also, they were one of the best teams in the west before injuries just last year. Also, doesnt seem like its in Griffin's dna to make that kind of move.
-Heard ppl saying it on the trade forum, but think this rumor got leaked b/c NO offered #14 and a bunch of the other firsts they have stashed (w/o a star) and hornets/blazers said no. It makes no sense if either team was in win now mode or it wouldnt make sense in a youth movement scenario when you got a shot a miller/scoot.

I want to draft Miller, but if we got Scoot, Id still be happy b/c of his potential. Think Id only be bummed if we traded back to 4/5/6.

Honestly I've never been a big fan of Lavines game, and his contract is just bad.

I wouldn't trade Gordon + #2 for Beal's contract.

We can get Beal without the #2 pick.


Hayward + a future pick should be enough. Washington is not getting back good value because of his contract. It's why teams like Miami and Philly can get him for cheap.

The naive part of me wonders if maybe that's what is happening by bringing them both back and having them meet with MJ. Show that we are serious about both and potentially increasing the net of interested parties in a trade.

Woj just reported on live Nat'l tv pencil Brandon Miller as the #2 pick for Charlotte. The other draft guy also said we are leaning Miller.
