What I think Beal wants, what I think he’s always wanted, is to win in Washington, and if Michael Winger can show him a pathway in the next year or two where he says, “hey, I think we can win. I think we can be a contender if you hang in there with me,” then I think he’s all in on that. If Winger tells him, or is telling him, “I don’t see how we can do that,” then it’s, “where can I go that we can win,” because he does love DC. He loves — he’s loved that market and living there. He’s been connected to that community.

[. . .]

I think for Beal, I’m not sure this would just happen in the next week. It could, but i think that they do have time on their side and Beal’s not dying to leave. He’s not asked for a trade. He’s not said, “I want you to move me,” but I think if you are Washington, you’re trying to weigh everything. . . They don’t have to unravel this thing all at once. They have time. They just got there.

Woj on Lillard:
They’re not talking to teams. Portland is not trying to trade Damian Lillard. Damian Lillard has not asked to be traded. He’s around the facility every day. He’s engaged with that front office and organization. Listen, I think they’re gonna try to do everything they can here at the draft and free agency to build around him.

So basically another run of the mill off season for the Heat!

Like I said earlier today, NOTHING has changed on the Beal front. This whole 4-5 year Beal obsession is a joke considering how overrated and overpaid he is.

Bradley Beal does not want to be in Miami, that is fairly obvious by now.

He is not going to demand to be traded to Miami, and he isn’t going to use his no trade clause as leverage to get here.

Bruv..... IDK if it's worth the price tag. If you don't like Herro now, he's basically Herro with a much higher price tag. Don't get a name just to get a name.

I think if Portland trade their 3rd pick for Zion Williamson that would be a terrible move. In 4 seasons the guy has played 144/308 games for NO so far.

For the guy that Zion was coming out of the draft for NO to want to move him as soon as they have given him a 5yr 194mil deal with no player option or team option says a lot about what they believe about him.

Also if I'm Lillard, Portland getting Zion wouldn't move me, especially when you have Grant on board at PF already. At least Grant will play.

Now if Portland get Ingram that might be different.

WOJ and SHAMs both have alliances with certain organizations to get first dibs on info....so they are mouth pieces for those organization.

Also, Woj works for ESPN, so it's hard to imagine him putting a pro-Heat spin on anything he reports.

Doing comparisons in this manner is flawed logic because one player already plays within the HEAT system that is paired with Jimmy and Bam and another plays in something that isn't even remotely similar.

Beal is one of the best finishers at the rim in the league and is a very good play maker that can also play off the ball. He's also a more efficient scorer than Herro that doesn't always require a screen to get a good look on a shot. You can't really look at both players without understanding the environment around each of them.

Nice rebuttal, i was entertained. Also, Beal is shorter than tyler but is somehow less of a turnstile than Tyler can be. Then again, Beal Is not playoff proven. He hasn't won like a Paul Pierce or even a Kyrie Irving or even Mitchell. I like Beal but he has a lot to prove and he's not exactly a safe upgrade on Herro.

Herro cooked Utah so niceeeee

Bam
Zion
Butler
Herro
Vincent

Too tough inside. But we got shooters. Nah.

Brook might be a better upgrade in our system.

I remember not wanting to trade JRich for Butler. Did t think as much of Butler as some here did. Pretty ludicrous in hindsight.

I think I will be fine and very accepting if we trade Herro for Beal.

Herro, Robinson, Oladipo for Beal and Wright - send it in.

Also I think we could get something out of Thybulle off the bench. Bring him in on a Vet min. He did shoot 39% from 3 in his 22 games with Portland to finish last season.

Preferably we can get someone who's a consistent volume shooter but options are limited for Vet mins.

Return to Miami Heat
