Woj on Beal:What I think Beal wants, what I think he’s always wanted, is to win in Washington, and if Michael Winger can show him a pathway in the next year or two where he says, “hey, I think we can win. I think we can be a contender if you hang in there with me,” then I think he’s all in on that. If Winger tells him, or is telling him, “I don’t see how we can do that,” then it’s, “where can I go that we can win,” because he does love DC. He loves — he’s loved that market and living there. He’s been connected to that community.

I think for Beal, I’m not sure this would just happen in the next week. It could, but i think that they do have time on their side and Beal’s not dying to leave. He’s not asked for a trade. He’s not said, “I want you to move me,” but I think if you are Washington, you’re trying to weigh everything. . . They don’t have to unravel this thing all at once. They have time. They just got there.
Woj on Lillard:They’re not talking to teams. Portland is not trying to trade Damian Lillard. Damian Lillard has not asked to be traded. He’s around the facility every day. He’s engaged with that front office and organization. Listen, I think they’re gonna try to do everything they can here at the draft and free agency to build around him.
So basically another run of the mill off season for the Heat!
