All NBA Siakam and All NBA Oladipo.

That's an amazing haul for #3 and liability Simons.

Does not make POR a contender. More like a vet and a suit on the bench injured.

Better to keep the picks.

Do you waste time typing these posts in full? I strongly suggest at least partially automating if you do.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

I could say the same about these kind of offers which pretend to make POR a contender but are really just a ruse to steal picks.

They are actually a daydream about a ruse to steal picks.

So Blazers are trading #3,#23, Simons, and Little for Siakam and eating Oladipo's contract.

I'm a Raptors fan but this doesn't look good for Portland at all.

edit: I've read it on here more than once is why I wonder.

https://stathead.com/basketball/versus-finder.cgi?request=1&player_id1=lillada01&player_id2=drexlcl01

Check the stats yourself, they're very close. Lillard with the WS/48, TS%, PER edge. Drexler with the BPM and VORP edge, he actually played defence, plus he's got a ring fwiw. Lillard with 7 vs. 5 All NBA.

Cool website thanks. Much better than two tabs open on bball reference. Seems to me we're on the same page. Edge goes to Clyde for the defence. To be fair, Dame might have won a ring with prime Hakeem too.

Yeah if I were building a team, Drexler would be easier to build around imo since he has fewer holes in his game. And yeah, Hakeem with Lillard would've covered up a LOT of Lillard's weaknesses lol.

Zion for #3 could be a smokescreen.

How about Zion for Dame?

Blazers build around #3/Zion/Sharpe/Simons - automatically the best young core in the league
Blazers become contenders with a lineup of Dame/McCollum/Murphy/Ingram/Valanciunas and A TON OF DEPTH.

Or he continues to smash the corn dogs and the trashy broads while cashing checks from the IL.

Pass.

I feel like this thread's only purpose will be giving JRoy some purpose in life. I don't see a match between these teams. Portland won't like what Toronto offers and Toronto won't like what Portland offers.

"I think some teams that have players that they're interested in have kind of turned their noses up at the idea of a package of Simons and No. 3," replied Zach Lowe.

There were like two guys who started barking at me about how amazing Simons is and how we should be excited to receive him in a trade and that I'm crazy for calling him one of the worst defenders in the league. Looks like Lowe knows what's up and why nobody wants the guy and his yucky contract.

Anyway JRoy, enjoy having Dame, Simons, Sharpe and Scoot!!! What a disaster of a backcourt situation. Dame is just gonna leave soon and then Simons will become disgruntled getting his minutes capped and then ya'll will realize Scoot isn't even close to Dame's level. The treadmill is running, best of luck!!

Sounds like a backcourt with options!

Youth, talent and a Hall of Fame player to mentor them.

And Simons!

For the time being.

Dame ain't taking any mentorship role for more than a year, he's like a caged animal waiting to be liberated.

Return to Toronto Raptors
