Victor O has played 168 games in the past FIVE seasons, an average of about 33. To the extent the Heat were relying on having him for the entire year, it's simply a bad gamble by management. Herro's injury was certainly unfortunate for the Heat but please, let's not compare him to Giannis, Randle, or Tatum (even though the last two played). In other words, it should be a lot easier for the Heat to gameplan without Herro.

What would have happened if Giannis didn't get hurt? What about Randle playing hurt? What about Tatum playing hurt in game 7.

If you're on the court, play. Let's not make excuses.

As my coach once said, "You play hurt but not injured."

I bet you were dog ****

Knicks fan...you just gotta pity the dude. Probably convinced himself his team was soooo much better than ours, only for the harsh reality to kick in that his team (best one in a decade) couldn't even beat the WORST iteration of the HEAT in nearly the last "half" decade (ECF 3 out of 4 seasons & 2 Finals appearances) even if they were healthy. Josh Harts dirty play is the only reason we didn't sweep'em.

Dave_R wrote:Payoff (not playoff) Jimmy. The Heat owe him $146M over the next three years (see https://www.spotrac.com/nba/miami-heat/jimmy-butler-8081/). He will turn 34 prior to the start of the '23-'24 season. It's a terrible contract you Heat fans can thank Pat for. No team with him as the alpha dog will win a championship.

That being said, you also can't win with a scrub, yes scrub, backcourt. Vincent and Strus averages a combined less than 20 PPG for the series and shot less than 40% (Vincent) and less than 25% (Strus). Even if you throw in Lowly, I mean Lowry, the three Heat guards combined to average 28 PPG, 10.2 APG, and 9.2 RPG compared with Murray's 21.4 PPG, 10 APG, and 6.2 RPG.

Good luck improving with Jimmy and Bam on the books!

In the last 4 years Playoff Jimmy has brought us to the finals twice and came a shot away from making it 3 times. Are you seriously in here trolling when your Knicks have made it to the finals the same amount of times in the last 40 years
