bumping from our convo in the mitchell thread
https://www.nba.com/hornets/staff
the current list of Friends of Mike/Family connections on staff (looks like his daughter no longer works for team). i'm not suggesting any of them are not qualified, although i have my doubts about a couple, just pointing them out. there may be others in the front office that arent as obvious.
Managing Partner & Alternate Governor - Curtis J. Polk
Office of the Chairman - Estee Portnoy
President, Vice Chairman & Alternate Governor - Fred Whitfield
President of Basketball Operations & General Manager - Mitch Kupchak
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer - James R. Jordan
Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations & Assistant General Manager – Buzz Peterson
Vice President of Player Personnel – Larry Jordan
Scout – Justin Jordan
Basketball Operations Assistant – Maxwell Kupchak

Looks like there is going to be a non-Spectrum option to watch games this season. Still annoyed that I can't just watch on YouTube TV.

*adjusts tinfoil hat*
Jordan's baseball sabbatical was really David Stern suspending him for gambling.
Jordan's interest in selling the Hornets is really Adam Silver suspending him for being caught falsifying Spectrum attendance figures.

In less significant news:
I thought the Lending Tree logo looked pretty awesome, kinda bummer to see it go

The ad patches in general are super tacky
Lending Tree was one of the least garish though.

Re: Front Office/CBA/Contracts/Marketing Thread
Why did they show off the version with text descriptions? We cant tell there are Spectrum center logos near center court on both sides? Baffling.
Anyway, I think the design is cool, wonder how such a dark court will look during the actual games.

My initial reactions are (1) I guess that's why they went with gold on that new jersey, and (2) where's the purple at? Not in love with blue, teal, and gold, with blue and gold as the primary colors.

I'm not either, but the modern NBA culture is such that teams basically have alternate color palettes like they wear alternate uniforms.

Yeah, I was pretty ok with the mint gold stuff, but I'm not down with this new one.
