Nurse isn't here to develop guys. He's going to play the players that he thinks can help him win games. Maybe those things will align in some ways, but don't get your hopes up for [insert whatever random longshot you like]

I’ll give Nurse the benefit of the doubt on player development until we have something to evaluate here in Philly. The GM is always gonna point the finger at the coach but the truth could be that Masai just drafted poorly in recent years & Nurse did his best to keep the team afloat.

He runs a summer league type system where slew of young and big named players train under him. This guy is brilliant . Harden is there almost every year. A lot of big names and young guns go to his runs

The way I look at Nurse, hopefully, is he can be Phil Jackson or Steve Kerr to Doc being our Marc Jackson or Doug Collins. Doc talked about how Harden being stationary makes him harder to guard, how eventually Phil implemented movement for MJ and Kerr implemented movement for Steph, making those 2 harder to defend.

Siakam. That’s why Paul Reed will win most improve player next year.

Yes I believe you are right....again!
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

I want to see Reed start next to Embiid if not for the experimental aspect of it.

Same, I just wish Reed would shoot a few threes. He hits his free throws. That's usually a good sign as most guys who make their free throws can also hit threes. Reed has a funny-looking shot so he would need time to get the shot off, but I think he can manage. PJ Tucker has the same problem. Hell, it takes him three seconds, two spins with the basketball, and the holy prayer before he's ready.

I'm all for starting Paul Reed though. Keep in mind that Phil Petrusev is going to be joining us this year. I know expectations aren't high for him, but who knows? He might crack the rotation which would then allow Reed to start (assuming we trade Tobias).

If this means Tobi is gone and Pj is no longer starting than I'm all for it.

I feel like recklessness is part of the Paul Reed experience. With the rebounds and the deflections, so come the fouls and the is he trying to get pulled plays.

He's a bench guy to me. You bring him in (out the mud) to muck the game up.

I don't really see how that guy could be a cohesive fit with the starters.
