OT: Is Grant Hill the worst Team USA Basketball Manager?

Post#1 » by MasterGMer » Thu Jun 15, 2023 3:02 pm

2023 World Cup is only 2 months away, now the roster is starting to take shape.

Surprisingly, it is not a star oriented roster as many expected. (Paolo Banchero is recruited by Grant Hill also)

Mikal Bridges
Jalen Brunson
Anthony Edwards
Tyrese Haliburton
Brandon Ingram
Jaren Jackson Jr.
Cam Johnson
Walker Kessler
Bobby Portis
Austin Reaves

Is this still the dream team?

Last time, USA finished 7th place with Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell, and Jaylen Brown.

I am not too optimistic about our current roster.

But is Grant Hill the worst Team USA manager ever?

This is the problem with USA Basketball. To most NBA players, an NBA Championship means more than an Olympic Gold Medal.

It seems like American ball players do not take National Team seriously, don't you think?

If I were Grant Hill, I'd ask all National Team players or potential players to sign a Contract and actually pay them to play for National Team. And they must show up

Team USA doesn't even send NBA players to World Cup Qualifiers, they used G League players. However, we were still dominating. Which is weird.

I do think International Basketball does work. And it will take a lot from NBA to change the status quo

Yes, he is the worst. He's also the worst Magic player of all time.

Grant Hills been on the job for about 15 minutes, I think calling him the worst USA basketball manager ever is straight up lunacy. If you don’t like the guy fine but there’s not even spin you can toss to make that a viable point skin. Also, I’m pretty sure Grant when healthy played pretty well for Orlando, so that worst player ever crack is completely unfounded. You want an answer to the worst Magic player ever, look up Amal Mccaskal.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

That’s a dream team to me, and looks well balanced. Shooting, passing, playmaking and shotblocking by the ton.

I like the team. If you don’t have superstars you just gotta make sure the team fits. It looks like it does on paper at least.
