I’m starting to like Olivier Maxence Prosper. I think he’s gonna have a solid career. I wish we had another pick

Well he’s the vice president of the players union and liking tweets that would be very offensive to a relatively high percentage of the population.

Have no clue why people hate Scottie.

They’ve been mocking him about it for the last 2 years.

If a player has a 3.0 BPM as a freshman and a 10.0 as a sophomore which is outlier growth you can't take a player with a 3.0 bpm as a freshman and consider him equal as he hasn't displayed outlier growth.

What's the average growth from frosh to sophomore for a college player, or for a drafted guy? As a say Michigan fan it feels like it's pretty big, like I would think of a 4 star, 60th in his class guy as someone I'd want playing like 10-15 minutes as a freshman off the bench but would hope could be a good 30 minute starter as a sophomore.
Where's the D?

So so so ignorant.

I watched the entire today interview with Snell. It really was awesome. I’ve been very closely associated with autistic children and children exhibiting autistic behaviours for entire adult life. I can tell you Scottie Barnes is nowhere near the autistic spectrum. Again, I’m sure Williams was joking, but it is so ignorant of autism and sad such a powerful interview was used to make a joke.

Or maybe I’m just getting old and my sense of humour is dissolving….

It's a good question but I don't think there's a good answer. There will always be too many players leaving school after one year to get an idea of this progression. I prefer to take the safe route and not assume a player will make a significant leap. Looking backward through RSCI rankings, you'll see a great deal of garbage to inconsequential NBA players in the top 5, which to me tells you that scouting services aren't good at predicting translatability to higher levels.

This is not an "official" list of workouts –it's simply based off information from players that gets leaked. It's essentially irrelevant. The Raptors have and will work out every single top (30) prospect who is willing to work out for them, regardless of whether or not they have any interest in drafting them.

They're going to have to take several jumps in their development to become quality NBA players, but having had one already (freshman to sophomore season) is a giant asset when evaluating prospects. It also bodes well for future jumps, but isn't guaranteed by any means.

Look how incredible of a prospect Marcus Smart was after his freshman year
https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/marcus-smart-1.html

He took a minor step forward in his sophomore season and then stalled in the NBA.

Stats wise Smart would be one of my favourites to have an incredible NBA career based off his college stats, but he just stopped developing.

All prospects will need to go through a lot of development to become good NBA players, but it's nice to have a guy that's 1-2 steps ahead of others on that path.
