They’ll both be back cause it’s in our best interest to use there bird rights. Lowry will be back to offset those salaries next year along with whomever we sign with MLE

So we running it back, maybe just swapping Herro,Duncan for Beal.

Yes. Riley has always valued continuity. Beal will be in along with MLE player and new minimums and possible draft pick. Also ushering in Jovic to the rotation. Love will be back as well in the UD role.

I don't mind running it back with 80-90% of the roster and acquiring Beal. Bam's natural progression along with Jovic's should offset some of the loss that'll yield from an older Jimmy Butler (at least in the regular season), and the addition of Beal should instantly make us better from a year prior.

Gabe, Beal, Butler, Jovic, Bam, Martin, Max, Love, Highsmith, etc. etc. is a contending core in the east.

Sprinkle in an MLE too. Maybe Christian Wood

On second thought.. I would really like to keep Duncan Robinson. I think it's integral in today's NBA to have a knockdown three point specialist. Duncan has been that guy in the playoffs throughout this career; shot 44% from three this postseason and has a 41% average from three the previous 4 playoffs. He's a level above Strus in that department, and having him come off of the bench in spot minutes could be more valuable than having Max in that same role.

And Christian Wood. Don't forget Christian Wood.

Gabe/Pat Beverly
Beal/Strus/Cain
Butler/Martin/Highsmith
Wood/Jovic/Love
Bam/Orlando Robinson

Hopefully we keep this year's draft pick and add either a PG or back up C or get one of the two back in the Beal trade and other position in the draft.

I can see Wood being us for what Portis is for Milwaukee.

Lowry will be back for one last hurrah reprising role as Vincent’s backup and expiring next year to offset this year’s cap additions

Knowing Pat, he's 100% trying to acquire Beal without giving up Herro. Wouldn't surprise me if they're both on our roster come training camp. If that is the case, I would want Jimmy to fully adapt the point-forward role and be the primary ball handler. Having a starting line-up of Jimmy, Herro, Beal, Jovic, and Bam with Butler facilitating the offense (i.e. Lebron James) would be absolutely lethal.

Hard to keep him in the mix at his bloated salary and our cap dynamics. He gone

In a perfect world Brook Lopez would want to sign here for the MLE. He was being super friendly to our guys in our playoff series

I just read your previous post about Lowry coming back and the Mark's trade meaning Herro and Duncan would be gone. It makes sense. My question is now if we acquire Beal what do YOU envision our lineup being and include a MLE addition. Also would we be able to keep this year's pick to add a shooter or even possibly trade it to acquire a later first and second to add needed depth?

Knowing Arison and the looming 2nd apron this is not happening. 85-100 million tax bill next year with major roster restrictions. These rules specifically put in to avoid big salary star stacking like this. We need 30 million off the books next year. Fortunate for us we have that in Lowry
