So the question becomes, does 30 games from Zion, including missing the POs make the Blazers a better team than just picking #3.

No, tbh, as much as I'm enjoying my fantasy land of Zion being traded to Portland, him getting - and staying - in shape and his injury issues magically disappearing... the reality of the situation is that those things are likely not happening... and even beyond that, if Zion were on the table and if Dame does still have a say in moves (as I suspect he does), I don't think Dame signs off on the Blazers getting Zion.

You know Dame and CJ still talk, if there were a chance of getting Zion, you know Dame would be talking (or has talked) to CJ about his experience with Zion and I can't imagine CJ has a lot positive to say about the experience a year and a half in. I honestly believe Dame would sooner the Blazers just use the pick than move it for Zion (or that he would want Ingram over Zion).

I too would like this dream. Also I think New Orleans would have to send extra compensation to both teams. I don't think Ingram is worth the second (or third) and Zion is so scary you need at least another pick back or someone like Herb Jones imo.

It's also why a deal likely won't happen. I think the Pelicans won't want to add more to the deal and they seem to be in love with Jones to the point where he's near untouchable according to their beat reporter.

If he is really 6’8? Absolutely IMO.

But ideally you keep him at SG and get another guy w/ height at SF. To not just have an average sized SG but a oversized SG? Is that even allowed in Portland?

Just waiting on confirmation by reliable sources that Shaedon grew. Chase McGraw? Well, his name gets some run.

I'm interested in playing Thybulle to improve perimeter defense, but that requires shooting from the SF and PF. But Sharpe and Grant could provide that.

The risk would probably be impact to rebounding.

Uh, well considering the last time we know that they saw each other was 3 months ago...

Is growing an inch a month even healthy? Hopefully our man is in the gym every day working on this:

But we unfortunately have some Wizards fans who think it might be a possibility and are taking Nate Jones' trolling of that information by saying 'Porzingis for #3 duh' as it only reinforcing it could be true.

We may be doomed to suffer through a terrible week, my friends, of unrealistic optimism from other teams' fans.

again, it might be just me paying more attention because the Blazers have a 3rd pick (and Olshey traded so many first's away so the lottery-->draft weeks didn't matter)...but I can not recall a tsunami of outright BS, misleading tweets, distractions, and lies like I've seen over the last 2 weeks

making it worse is the apparent gullibility of people who should know better....people thinking something might be credible when any use of common sense would show the lie

something else, and I guess I might have known this, But IMO, Toronto fans are completely nuts when it comes to discussing the value of their players vs other teams' players. They speak a different language up there....nonsense

Ive ha a couple of discussions with Nets' fans and they seem reasonable....but Raptor fans....whooo boy

Some is no doubt from teams trying to get up the value on their players by leaking a 'connection' to 'discussions' with a team with a high lottery pick.

But also a lot of people just aggregate and outright lie to get hits and interaction, views, engagement etc to try to earn money/followers, etc.

Like just today we had tons of accounts intentionally misquoting the part about 'concern over Damian requesting a trade' and tried to pose it as Portland was concerned about this, but no, it was the Wizards front office concerned about this and that's why they're moving for a trade for Beal now to try not to lose out on the better package offers.

I will say, I don’t discount the Blazers talking to Wizards about Porz. I think this rumor came up in that Cronin asked what the price for Porzingas is if they’re rebuilding, Washington asked if 3 is available, Cronin hung up so fast your head would spin… but then the aggregator posts “BLAZERS AND WIZARDS HAVE DISCUSSED PORZINGAS FOR 3!!!!”

Those two things may have come up in a conversation, doesn’t mean they are working on a deal or even anywhere close to it.

I will ALSO say, as much fun as it’s been to follow all the rumors of trades and transactions on social over the years prior, this year has literally zapped any fun there was out of it. Blazers are in the best spot they’ve been in for years as far as options of where they want to go, but the discourse around it online as been just **** awful.
