just curious how you will decide if Masai was right or not should a trade happen when you really don't know what was offered previously?

To me it would have to be...
Dallas: Hield, 26, 29
Pacers: OG
Raps: Bertans, 7, 10
Definitely much better from a Raptors perspective.
Although I would prefer that we move on from FVV or package Siakam for the 3rd or 4th pick, I am genuinely intrigued by your fantasy trade.
I am not saying I say yes but it’s definitely getting my attention.
From an Indiana perspective:
Wondering in this scenario if the two low 1st could stays with Indiana as they would give 3 1st plus Hield for Anunoby,
Also there is an additional salary that need to leave Dallas to make the salary work. Depending of the player leaving Dallas to Indiana then maybe yeah the picks can go to Dallas.
Dallas doesn't need to include more salary. Everything is within an legal amount for trade. Maybe Indy is giving up a very slight bit too much here. I think Dallas is maybe slightly light too. But I'm a Raptors fan so no need to be fair. lol. Maybe we give Indy the #13 pick and get Nembhard for example. Though who knows, that might be less appealing to the Pacers since he had a pretty good rookie season and every pick is a risk.

Good question.
But regardless of the legitimacy of this rumours / speculation I am wondering how that deal could look like.
I am not saying it’s a deal we should do but I am curious about how the structure of a 3 way trade could shape up.
Would it be something like this?
Dallas : Hield
Indiana : Anunoby, Pick 10, Salary filler from Dallas (Maybe Green)
Toronto : Bartan, Pick 7th, Pick 26, Pick 29
I am simply trying to decode / decipher Weinstein fantasy trade / rumours
Dallas would get rid of Bartan contract and add Hield for the price of the 10th spot
Indiana would improve from Hield to Anunoby for the price of dropping from the 7th to 10th spot and two low 1st pick
Toronto : Would get 3 2023 1st pick including a top10 pick for the price of Anunoby and taking Bartan contract
Arguably an underwhelming return if that is indeed the framework although.
Or maybe the 13th spot is also flipped for the 10th spot
I am speculating myself based on Weinbach speculative tweet.

We think Dallas tanked with Kyrie and Doncic in order to trade their 10th pick for Buddy Hield?

Generally the trade proposals thrown around here are pretty terrible for other teams, but I don't think this one is that bad for Dallas.
Assuming Dallas runs it back with Luka and Kyrie (no way Luka wants another tanking year), is there any player in this draft that would help them contend at #10 more than Hield? Even if you give them 2-3 years to develop, there doesn't seem to be that many high ceiling players in this draft past 3. And which other players could they realistically acquire that would be better than Hield?
Hield is an elite 3pt shooting role player that would be perfect to play off of Luka and Kyrie. And the 26th and 29th pick could actually allow them to draft some NBA-ready high-floor/low-ceiling players on rookie contracts to fill out their depth.

This must have something to do with the other first round pick. No way the Blazers give up the #3 for freakin Porzingis.

Using ESPN trade machine i am having an error:
I tried :
Tor get Bertans
Ind get Anunoby
Dal get Hield
“The Mavericks are over the luxury tax threshold with this trade and the incoming aggregate salaries exceeded what's allowed via the 125% plus $100,000 rule. Cut $2,668,890 from the Mavericks incoming trade value to make this trade successful.”

Come on Masai no way they value Porzingis more than Siakam. Get over your love for Pascal and do whats right for this team. It’s time to trade him, and its rare to see top 3 picks being traded, this is the time to be seller!

Yuck. Pascal is much better than Prozac

I am sure the Blazers prefer Siakam but Masai is waiting for the Blazers to throw more first rounders which is not going to happen. He can always tell our dumb media and Siakam gang bangers that this trade will be available at the deadline but it won't because no team can guarantee top 3 pick and not only do you need to suck bad but you also have to have some luck.
To think in 2 of the 3 seasons that we missed the playoffs we could have both 4th overall and 3rd overall picks. This is just crazy not to have this deal done right now and it's about Masai being to emotionally attached to Siakam who we cannot win with as the top option. Things made never change until Masai is gone and this talk about change seems like more Masai BS
PhilBlackson wrote:Rapsalot wrote:I think there is a good win win deal with both Portland and Charlotte.
Charlotte we would have to get #2 pick Denver’s 2023 pick plus a couple of early second this year. This is a longer play because more draft compensation and two bad contracts for salary vs young player(s)
There's absolutely no reason why CHA should be trading that 2nd pick with us, none.

Trades like this don't happen till draft night because teams want to see who's still on the board... And Masai is still one of the best around, so not sure what you're talking about in terms of getting rid of him... Such nonsense... Teams would be lining up to hire him.
Tor_Raps wrote:Hey Masai... u want to move up in the draft?
There was a very simple solution to that at the trade deadline where we still could have kept our valuable assets...

You might have missed the trade deadline, when everyone was suggesting Masai would wit until trade deadline day to get max return. As for Siakam, just look a what the Wizards are going to receive for a younger Beal after over paying him on some massive deal. The Suns are offering Paul and his half guaranteed contract and Landry Shamet. The Heat's offer does not include Herro, so any Siakam fanboy who thinks we need to wait for some massive crazy deal and pay him some massive contract should be watching. The Raptors could have a player making 45-50 million starting at the age of 31 and then become a serious roster cap problem because of new CBA
