Having an absolute blast in Cyberpunk. It's a bit annoying to have weapons and items moved from where they were the first time around, but overall it's just a masterful game. There isn't another FPS or open world that comes close in terms of just getting everything right.

Re: OT: Video Games/Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos
Played SF6 a lot today. Strung together a 5-game win streak and got to the second star in Iron. I think I struggle most against Kimberly right now. She is SO **** fast. Her slide kick is a bitch.
Wrist hurts so putting it down for the night. I think I need a new controller. I keep accidentally hitting the PS button in matches which is utterly maddening.

If you have expendable income and want to play fighters for a while, get a leverless controller. It’s more ergonomic and allows more precise inputs than a fight stick. I ordered a Snack Box Micro that’s due to ship end of the month and it will likely replace my classic stick as my go-to for fighters. Those types of controllers just aren’t cheap since fight sticks are already kind of a niche product.

I'm deep in Cyberpunk, but any of you wanna go at it tonight? I'll hop on SF and get whopped.

I will tomorrow! I hopped back on for one match tonight and realized quickly I was too tired. Checked back out.
I love the idea of the investment in something like a dedicated fighting controller, but I don't think I'm there yet. A $40 controller which has some fighter-friendly features but could be used for other games is a far cry from a $200 dedicated fighter stick or leverless. Open to it if I get there; less concerned about the cost itself, and moreso about long-term use.

Come on! Let's go. 10:40 CST. It'll take 30 seconds.

I'll be on today. I was trying to challenge MIG last night because I saw he was on, but I don't really know how to do that with crossplay. There wasn't an option to message or invite that I could see; I think you can join their Battle Hub assuming they are in one.

That's pretty much the crux. If you don't think you're going to play it for the next seven years it might be an iffy investment. I already put ~200hrs into Guilty Gear Strive and I have ~50 in Street Fighter 6, so I was willing to pay to have a better experience.
On another note, SuperCombo will be your best friend for quick info if you have a knowledge gap or need fast frame data without labbing it out in training. Handy resource.

I have no idea how any of it works. I just go into Fighting Ground, start ranked matches, and wait. I did go on an 8-game win streak this morning and got a win within bronze, but ran into an extremely significantly better player than I and kind of fell out of a groove.
My wrist really hurts, though. I am overall enjoying the game a lot and am glad I picked it up, but I might be an intermittent player if I can't get this figured out. I need to, like, learn how to Roger Federer my controller instead of Rafa Nadal it.

The bold part is the most MIG of MIG quotes I've ever read.
I think doing ranked from Fighting Grounds is why I haven't been able to play you. I usually join a Battle Hub server because it allows me to play casuals against friends there while still being able to queue for rank.

I'm still learning about frames, inputs, and all this stuff. I just looked into these leverless controllers more now though and they're kinda crazy. Beyond the actual button execution, being able to execute a frame-perfect anti-air is nuts - which I know as a fighting game newbie.
It's definitely tempting. Love the idea of them.

Apparently they are fixing it during a day one patch. Also some performance stuff.

I was hoping the review embargo was lifted today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I pre-ordered already also, but I'm a reviewaholic and am anxious to hear the impressions.

Re: OT: Video Games/Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos
I'm very curious about what reviews stay about the story. I haven't been that impressed with the combat and the visuals look pretty messy to me. But if there's a good, meaty story I'll probably pick it up.
