ANNOUNCEMENT

Welcome to BaF season 7!

All rosters have been moved over to the season seven thread. Please take a few minutes to check your team and make sure that all info has been moved correctly. Check years, salaries and everything else on your page. You are responsible for your own team and while I am pretty sure that everything was moved correctly, I have missed things before...please check my work sooner than later to confirm that your team is correct. While you are at that, check your draft info if you haven't already done that.

I am up to 81 PMs now and will not be posting trades tonight. Will be lucky to get them all in before the draft begins on Saturday. 2010 will go on the clock and have until 8AM Saturday morning to make the 1st pick. Each team has a time slot which is posted in the Season 7 thread. Please check your time slot so we can keep the draft moving. Early entrants and international players in the draft are listed at the end of the draft post in the main thread. If there is someone not listed in that post that you want to draft, please ask about him via PM before you are on the clock.

A few bookkeeping items for just after the draft. Teams will need to make decisions on exempt players as well as on third/fourth year options. The following teams need to let me know about the players listed in the spoilers below. For an exempt player, please let me know if you want to take a year off of his contract or freeze it where it currently stands. For the options, please let me know if you intend to pick up or decline the option year. If a team does not respond by the deadline, the default will be a freeze of the exempt player and a decline of the option. The deadline for exempt players is June 24th while the deadline for the option year will be June 27. If you have any questions about any of this, please let me know.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

The Brooklyn Nets have agreed to trade Will Barton, Luc Mbah a Moute, Ty Jerome and the #12 pick in the 2023 BaF draft to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for the #20 pick in the 2023 BaF draft.

Wasn't my first option but I like what I got from him. I've got 2 long long guards at PG/SG and a defensive anchor downlow.

See, this is why I traded for Claxton and Zubac lol

Lively was my only real option for a C in this draft I thought could play day 1, and because he's kind of the only non-Wemby C worth a 1st, he would've been gone before I could draft him.

I like JHS a lot. One of the guys I had my eye on potentially falling. If his efficiency from the midrange can bleed into 3pt territory he should be very solid. Should have some positional flexibility too with his size.

All right, I got 3 guys I'd love to take and 1 guy who I still like a lot at 18, so we're in a good position

I do have 1 guy out of the 3 I really want to drop to me, though, but any of the 4 I'll be happy with.

The wait for me at 21 is going to be painful as many of the guys I like will likely go off the board. The draft is so deep that value will be there no doubt. Even possibly mid round 2 honestly

You could always trade up to 18 for a protected future 1st if you want

I’m really high on JHS was in the mix to even get picked at 8 for me before trading the pick . I think his shooting numbers were more so shot selection than form, his shooting form is pretty good. The ability and length to guard 3 positions and probably the best guard operating out of the PNR in the class, I think whoever drafts him will give him the keys to run the offense early.

IMO he’s very similar to Anthony Black in a lot of elements. He’s not the athlete or quite the defender but he’s the superior shooter at this point. I also think ____ limited him from showcasing his full offensive game because he demanded so many touches on the interior. He’s someone who should also benefit from NBA spacing
