Is there a place where I can read about and get a run down on how Free Agency works for BAF, (and if I could make a suggestion, listing the free agents in Star Rank order(from the sim) would be a bit more helpful than alphabetical, its hard to keep track of who the best players available will be)) would also love to know how extensions work since obviously there's not an actual agent/player on the other end demanding a certain salary.

I was hoping Lively would make it to my slot. I had Maxwell Lewis as my sure-thing but that didn’t work out (I thought I was the only one who really liked him).

Anyway, I had three back-up options. Two reaches for need and one guy I really like but who I won’t have minutes for.

But then I realized a perfect fit had slipped who I wasn’t expecting. So lemme get a floor spacer with a high floor, and start poking around for another first round pick.

Franchises are ranked in four different categories:

1. franchise history (record over the last three years)
2. star player
3. youth/future (based on average age of top six players plus future draft picks)
4. player happiness

#4 is the only one that is slightly subjective in the fact that I help determine that based on how GMs run their franchise (tankers, etc.)

Each franchise gets a desirability rating which weights where free agents are more likely to sign. Teams with better rankings will be able to spend less money to sign players then a team beneath them.

There is no way to list the free agents differently at this time. It would require me to go through 400+ players and figure out where they belong from last years star ratings and I don't have the time to do that.

Extensions are available for any player still on their rookie contract. Max extensions are three years and 90% of the players current contract gets added. Mid-level extensions are 60% and are for two additional years. Minimum extensions are for one additional year and the player gets 30%. If you wait until after year two to extend a player, the cost increases. If you have any additional or specific questions, feel free to PM me.
