Every season the Heat tries for whales without the bait to catch them. I wish the team would focus on getting attainable players to strengthen the roster.

Both seem like PR to absolve blame - From the Heat side: “Don’t blame us, the Wizards liked Phoenix’s offer better” From the Washington side: “We were forced to accept the worse PHX deal because that’s the destination Beal chose”
Wonder who’s telling the truth.

Didn't they do this after the 20-21 season when they traded for Lowry and signed PJ? When those two broke down in the playoffs they went after Mitchell and KD last offseason. I swear some of you must play corner in the NFL. An incredible ability to forget anything that doesn't fit what you believe to be true so you can focus on the next thing.

Dinwiddie, Harris, and Mills all expiring equal exactly Lillard’s contract along with 5 out of 11 1st round picks they have in there cupboard and it’s a wrap. BK will also have close to 40 million in cap room for other moves. Start looking at other moves. Lillard will gladly go to the big market of BK regardless of chip promises or not. He’ll be with his boy Bridges.
So basically Pat needs to admit he’s not fit for the job anymore and pass it on to someone who is? Because we just passed on an all star 3 level scorer for peanuts for the exact reason of getting Dame
Nah Bammy it’s not about that. Lot more factors involved that are hamstringing us. You are looking at things like a fan fan but the business side of things are hamstringing us when you have competition for the same player. We are at the mercy of the teams you are dealing with and there needs along with your own financial situation. Suns were at the right place at the right time with non guaranteed contracts this year not next year. Wiz wanted out NOW NOW. It’s called being unlucky
Our front office is the reason we’re in a poor financial situation to begin with…
Suns weren’t “right place, right time” - they structured Paul’s deal smartly when giving it to him, so that they’d have an out if needed. Essentially the opposite of what we did with the Duncan 5/90, the Lowry 3/90, and maxing out Herro when he wouldn’t have received an offer sheet even close to that.

At the end of the day these players genuinely have to want to be in Miami to want to help this team win a championship. Not have several teams they want to choose frm who their team will pick in the end cos they have the better assets. This is why i nvr entertained Beal. He nvr truly wanted to be here in spite of the many pitches we’ve had w/ him. I’m sure if Beal pushed his way here we wld’ve found a middle point w/ negotiations & Woj wld’ve reported Beal to Miami. So who gives a flying f*ck about Beal.
Miami are operating in a way that’s also beneficial to our future, unlike a lot of these organisations who continue to make horrible decisions & nvr have a hope. Phoenix will soon find out the mistake they made. There’s still a lot of future in this current team regardless of Butlers window.
I wanna see how this offseason pans out but im not clamouring for whales or star players that genuinely do not want to be here. I want an Olidipo/Love type that wants to be a part of this organization.
Everything you wrote seems so wrong when one thinks about it. We are not in a position of power here, players and the team are a 50/50 split if not more power to the player. Thats a dynamic that your post seems to miss. Players go to a team to win, to win a championship for themselves, what ever team that might be is a secondary thing, not a primary thing. When Shaq came here, was it because he only wanted to win a ring with us or he just wanted to win a ring. The same with Lebron and Bosh. The idea that a player wants to come here and help this team win is so full of entitlement and again misses the fundamental point that it's the players in charge. Maybe this fundamental misunderstanding of the situation explains why we constantly lose out on Whales. It's not what player X can do for the Heat, it's what can the Heat do for player X, thats how you land a Whale. Again the real power is on the player which some won't like but thats reality, if one is trying to recruit Whales one has to fundamentally understand that, if not it's going to be pointless endeavor.
Comically and ironically one of the best ways to recruit, to get a whale like Dame is by having Beal on the team in the first place. That way you show the whale you are serious about winning. You show you will pay the tax, you show you will do your best to make sure you win.You throw some skin in the game. You show that the team will do its part to make sure Dame has a great opportunity to win a ring. You make the team as attractive as possible for the whale. We got Lebron because Wade and Bosh signed first. The Warriors got KD because they were a 79-3 team. The Nets got KD because they got Kyrie with him together. Sun got KD because Booker and Paul where there. Beal went to the Suns because Book and KD are there. They didnt go because the only want to win a ring for the Sun lol. I think we can all see a recurring theme here. If we were ever serious about getting Dame, we would have gotten Beal first, taxes be dammed.

Only time Winnie had me was on draft day. I got suckered too. I had wanted Booker slam dunk until Winnie fell
Bro they offered us 4 first rounders we messed up hard. Although he did show crazy defensive promise and even locked up Harden his rookie year one game.

1. We're not getting Lopez
2. We're not getting Lilard.
Most likely scenario is we "run it back" with a worse version of this years team, we'll lose at least one of Vincent/Strus, might lose both for nothing.
Only new guy will be Jovic, If Spo even gives him any minutes.
Honestly, might be a tough watch this year.

Self entitled, uncompetitive, unbearable DIVAS that happen to be great at basketball. But lack any resembles of a backbone or character or balls.
Sure I'd love to have their BB skills on my team, but I swear - it will be so hard to root for any of them if we get any of them someday. Hell, it's getting hard to stand 80% of these "stars".

Is this a serious post or is it a schtick? This kind of tilt over Bradley fkn Beal? Guess what - if we got Beal, the team STILL wouldn't have any superstars by your definition, since he's not even better than Jimmy or Bam.
Again, we just made it the the NBA Finals... chill lol.

Re: Miami Heat Off-Season 2.0- The Empire runs it back
If we want a chance to get Lillard we gonna need a 3rd team to help. This only going to be possible for Miami if Portland are open to receiving cap relief over the idea of taking Herro's 4yr deal.
#1 option - San Antonio
Option 1
MIA - Lillard and 22mil cash
POR - Lowry, Oladipo, Jovic, Highsmith, 4FRPs (2 SA and 2 MIA) and 2 MIA FRP swaps and 2.2mil cash.
SA - Herro
Option 2
MIA - Lillard, Nurkic and 7.8mil cash
POR - Lowry, Oladipo, Jovic, Highsmith, 4FRPs and 19.1mil cash
SA - Herro
Option 3
MIA - Lillard, McDermott, 10.9mil cash
POR - Lowry, Oladipo, Jovic, Highsmith, 4FRPs, 2 FRP swaps and 2.2mil cash
SA - Herro
I would hope one of those deals would be enough to swing get Lillard but if worst case scenario they need more we'd have 1 additional FRP we could add whether we'd want to at that point is another thing.

You can better understand why i hopped off this team in 2010. Why, win or lose, i absolutely love watching this current team. It's built the right way, we play the right way. No ego's, we share the ball, hold everybody accountable. No entitlement & no bullsh*t. I'd rather our current finals run than 50 championships w/ a super-team.
Beal's just another p*ssy who ran to 2 super-stars & wants as little pressure as possible. I'm glad i won't see him in a Heat uniform.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Re: Miami Heat Off-Season 2.0- The Empire runs it back
Option #3 OKC
Miami would trade OKC for 27mil cash and our 2025 FRP back unlocking 2023, 2024, 2026, 2028 and 2030 to trade
Option #1
MIA - Lillard, Nurkic and 7.8mil cash
POR - Lowry, Oladipo, Jovic, Highsmith, 3FRPs (3 MIA Picks), 2 FRP swaps and 19mil cash
OKC - Herro
Option #2
MIA - Lillard and 24.7mil cash
POR - Lowry, Oladipo, Jovic, Highsmith, 4FRPs, 2FRP swaps and 2.2 mil cash
OKC - Herro
Option #3*
MIA - Lillard, Dort and 9.4mil
POR - Lowry, Oladipo, Jovic, 4FRPs and 2FRP swaps and 4.1mil cash
OKC - Herro and Highsmith.
*Option 3 would have OKC just removing protections on 2025 and keeping our unprotected 2026 Which gives us 2023, 2024, 2028 and 2030 to trade. So essentially Herro and Highsmith for Dort, cash and removing protections on the pick they own.

Someone wrote Charles Barkley's comment about Kevin Duran here, and it is the same for B Beal. "They love to ride the bus, but they can't drive it." That's precisely the truth. BBeal would have been a star that could help us score more points, but he's not a winner. He's no Wade, Kobe, S Curry, or Jordan.

LA is in a position with their roster where a complete tear down would make sense. I don’t really see a meaningful path forward for them to win a title. LeBron is 39 years old. LA could get themselves in a situation between Lebron and AD trades to be stacked with cap space and picks, they don’t really have much on the books outside of them.
LeBron has 1-2 more runs left in him, I just don’t think he really believes he can make it shake in LA, given what Denver returns and the Suns have formed.
You can disagree but the roster is legitimately built for LeBron to thrive. You can run lineups with two shooters, Jimmy, and Bam with Bron at the 4. If I’m Riley, I’m in my 70s I want one more ring I’m going to get LeBron James.
