It would be great television. And watching Mark Cuban object (i.e. go out of his mind) would be good TV in itself.

When I was an early teenager we used to play a 20-on-20 game: no fouls called and first score wins. That was fun and every game someone got injured; usually a punch to the face.

when i was kid we had punish practice on basketball : you were fobriden to dribble. You would have to pass, run, recive, ball and pass/shoot.

and when i started playing soccer at age of 7 every practice game was 15 v 15 - all 30 of us running for ball.

Let's just get silly with allstar game: Hill Cheese-Rolling tournament. Dodgeball tournament. Paintball tournament.

In the UK there is a game called "Netball" which is basically this. Note: this is essentially what James Naismith invented.

The audience gets to paintball shoot the players whilst playing. That would spice up the ASW!

So lets think about this. They stopped doing east vs west to improve the game. So they went to the draft players format to improve the game. Then they decided to televise the draft to improve the game. They changed the scoring format to improve the game. They made it so winning quarters wins money to charities. Reps from the charities are at the game. All too improve the game. Now they want to go back to east vs west to... you got it improve the game. At some point its time to realise the game cant be salvaged. Im good just getting rid of it all together. Less and less people watch it cause its awful. The 2020 all star game might be the greatest one ever. The players are capable but more often then not it will suck.

I personally still like all star Saturday night. Just make the 3 point shotout the main event

Put me in the "I don't think its salvageable" camp. There used to be an "ire" of "we are the most professional players in the world so lets give them good basketball".

Then there is what we got last year. I do not think that is even basketball.
